Chapter 111: The Rascal in Words

The afterglow of the setting sun fell on the vast expanse of the river, casting floating shadows on the clear lake water.

Jiang Li drove out from his home, advancing along the artificial lake in Central Park to pick up Chen Dan, that friend of his who was adept at causing more trouble than solving.

He thought Chen Dan was being melodramatic—the car was broken, and he didn't even call a taxi, but directly asked him to pick him up.

But he was indeed too bored; now his days consisted only of driving practice in the morning and sleeping in the afternoon. The monotonous days passed quickly, each new day a repeat of the last.

Lost in thought, Jiang Li's car had unconsciously arrived at the address Chen Dan had left in a phone call.

However, he did not see Chen Dan at the entrance of the shopping mall, so he took out his phone to call him. Just as the dial tone started, someone knocked on the car window beside the driver's seat.
