Chapter 4:

BEEP BEEP BEEP! All of the faculty looked towards the monitor, as one of the students vitals was going off the charts. Something was wrong, they knew they had to be prepared but nothing like this had ever happened. 

Kaley looked at the screen, it was Noah her heart dropped in her chest as an uneasy feeling filled her body. "Carly get ready, I'm going on ahead." she said with a stern voice brushing past Mr. Storm, "WHICH TUNNEL!" Kaley yelled.

"I will go with you, but we need to hurry." Mr. Smith said as he ran beside Kaley. They darted forward down the tunnel that Noah had chosen with a small monitor pulled up watching Noah's vitals becoming more and more erratic.

Noah had lost the strength to hold himself up and was laying in the growing pool of blood leaking out of his body, his breathing had become shallow and his vision was too blurry to make out any of the boxes that lit up in front of him. 'Well this is it, I failed, how did this happen, how could this happen. Ella I'm sorry.' he though, as his vision continued to grow darker, his hands and feet becoming numb. He heard something, but as his vision was blurry his hearing was going out as well, he couldn't make it out. He was tired and growing numb, his thoughts unclear. But the sound reminded him of some one. 'Kaley' he thought "I'm sorry" he said with a soft breath, a warmth rapped his body as the darkness overtook his vision.

"You have nothing to be sorry about" Kaley said tears fresh in her eyes as her hand was held out with a glow touching his body. "Use buffs and other healing spells as well. we will have to carry him out, and I have no idea if he will make it. There is so much blood, but no wounds" Mr. Smiths brow furrowed and worry crossed his face as he saw no open wounds, 'poison maybe, but who would've poisoned him. No one other then Noah entered this tunnel and he wouldn't have done this to himself.' Mr. Smith began to conjecture what was going on but nothing made since to him.

"Kaley be carful when picking him up, make sure everything is active. and support his neck. All of his stats are one, the same as new born babies." Mr. Smith pointed the screen to Kaley so she could see the screen. Shock covered her body and fear showed as her hands shook as she lightly shifted under Noah's neck as she braced him to be lifted. Mr. Smith sent a signal outside the dungeon to prepare a student for evac. They slowly walked back afraid of jostling Noah as he just became stable with no signs of worsening as long as they were carful. 

The faculty calmed down a little when they saw Noah's vitals had stabilized. They waited calmly for Mr. Smith and Kaley to return. "what a ruckus you cased for no good reason Noah." Mr. Storm sneered as his conversation with Kaley was cut short.

After several minutes Mr. Smith was seen walking out. "I rushed ahead, we have to evac Noah ASAP all faculty present is to enter one tunnel and finish the awakening ceremony with the other students, make sure not to raise suspicion and watch for any and all abnormalities that may be present inside the dungeon." with that the faculty moved jumping at the orders that had been given to them. They rushed down the tunnels at top speed to check on the other students and make sure their safety was guaranteed.

Izzy felt the staff in her hands, it was her fathers staff, a class item that he had used to awaken. Their family was know for their firemancers, their skill in controlling flames was unstoppable within the province.

Izzy and Anna walked through the tunnel, "So now that we have our classes this should be easy miss firemancer." Anna said playfully as she nudged Izzy's arm. "Yeah yeah" Izzy wasn't focused she was too preoccupied thinking about Noah, she felt bad that he had to enter alone. 

Breaking Izzy from her inner thoughts, was a dungeon monster it stood in front of the two girls. A black shelled beetle, it was a foot tall, its sturdy body held a strong since of defense. Izzy held out her hand stopping and alerting Anna to the beast. "I will handle this one." She whispered. 

The beast hadn't noticed their approach, a soft breath was released as Izzy knew this was the best opportunity. Izzy pointed her staff at the beetle just staying still in the middle of the tunnel, a small flame started to burn at the tip of the staff, Izzy could feel the pull of mana going into the spell. 

The flame grew to the size of a fist, "FIRE BALL!" She roared as the spell went off hurling towards the beetle. The fire ball hitting the beetle a popping sound was heard as the shell of the beetle was busted and the monsters blood boiling under the heat. "Great shot Izzy, you are going to be a great firemancer, now the next one is mine." Anna jumping in cheers and praise to her friend. Izzy cracked a smile thinking of how easy it was to defeat this monster, she couldn't help but think that maybe Noah was okay.

Kaley had got Noah to the hospital, they had to set up several healing magic circles around his bed. He laid there breathing, the doctors had told Kaley they couldn't do anything else for him until he woke, leaving her there waiting. She had called Ella and told her to come to the hospital as soon as possible. Opting to tell her when she got there. They didn't have a clue on what happened, they still didn't know if Noah would die to whatever had happened. His stats were too low for an average awakening let alone his stats before going in were much higher then they are now, this could affect his future potential and growth. She sighed to herself 'worrying when I can do absolutely nothing to help will do nothing' but even with that thought she still couldn't help herself from worrying about her former master's children.
