"So... you're saying that the timeline here is different from the real world I live in?" Emma muttered, her finger tracing the edge of the paper. "Two months here equals just a week in the real world?"
Her brows furrowed in frustration as she tried to wrap her head around the concept. "That's insane. How does that even work?"
Leon, sitting back with his head propped on his palm, watched her with an amused glint in his eyes. He wasn't in a hurry to answer, clearly enjoying her animated confusion.
"It's not exactly straightforward," he admitted with a small shrug. "Time flows differently here. Think of it like... a fast-forwarded movie compared to the real world. What feels like months here is only a few days in the real world."
Emma groaned and dropped her head onto the table with a dramatic thud. "Great. So, while I've been running around trying to figure out what's going on, barely a week has gone by back home. That's just perfect."
