TWENTY-FOUR

The early morning air was peaceful and still fresh as Ava was in the middle of the training grounds, sparring with Micah, the entire camp had gathered to watch them.

She could feel them looking at her some were doubting, others were indifferent, but none of them trusted her, at least not yet.

"Are you sure you want to do this, Red Fang?" Micah smirked.

"I need to prove myself, right?" Ava ignored the name, adjusting her body.

"You say that now, but you would not like what happens if you fail." Micah looked at her.

"I would not fail," she said.

"Let's find out then." His smirk widened.

Before she could blink her eyes, he charged.

Ava dodged the first strike just a little, her instinct allowed her to dodge out of the way.

But Micah was too fast. He charged with his body weight and swept her legs from under her, sending her crashing to the floor.

The warriors that were watching let out a few murmurs.
