Seeing the choice she offered me, I opened the door and felt a huge flash across my face where I couldn't see anything through the door... and when I entered, the door had already disappeared.
In front of me, the environment changed completely... several pillars resembling Greek structures appeared around me, and a small staircase was being built in front of me so that I could climb up in search of answers.
As I climbed the stairs, I spotted a person sitting on a plastic chair in the opposite position to where I was... where I could only see his back, just like I appreciated from a character who embraced the demonic side of a game where even his brother is half-human half-demon who didn't surrender to the same side as his parent.
His body rose from the chair, and he turned slowly towards me, and in the blink of an eye... he was already behind me without so much as a sigh.
"Welcome, Shion. Another mortal being who's died because of the world's diseases, eh?" That guy's voice suddenly startled me and I stepped back to get a better view of who he was talking to.
"Oh haha! Don't worry kid, I'm not going to cut you with this sword... I just want to talk."
"Right, but yes... to answer your question, rhetorical or not, that's exactly what happened." I answered quietly, regretting that unfortunately I didn't have a chance of surviving in that hospital bed.
That man, on the other hand, approached me and began to analyze my entire body, looking for something in my clothes, just like the policemen did on Planet Earth.
He moved away from me after he had finished searching everything and with a raise of two hands, a system appeared before my eyes and his.
"I have a proposition for you, Shion."
He throws his hand to the side as if he were slapping someone in the face, and this causes the panel to fly to the right and then rise a few centimeters above our heads.
Several glowing spheres came out of that panel like a child falling down a water slide at a water park, the colors of each one bringing different tunes that ignited a huge curiosity in my mind.
"You are here for a single purpose and two choices, the purpose... is your second chance to live a new era."
As I listened in detail to his explanation, two small panels in green and red flew past my eyes
Doing that quick, bastardized reading, I become a light bulb that turns on at the speed of light, and it makes me very happy that this is really about to happen.
"Make up your mind, which of the two will you choose?"
His calm voice made me think for a moment as I quickly read off the two panels, that depending on my choice... I will be reincarnated in another non-existent body and start all over again.
The green panel described:
______________
[Green Rebirth: By choosing this option, you would be reincarnated as a living being who is about to be born into new maternal arms... however, it will be a blessed birth where there would be no"development of diseases or defects in general", where at the end of time, any harm will be"NULL" and your life will be ORDINARY and PERFECT.]
______________
"I could say that it would be a body added to a perfect soul, developing from beginning to end as a blessing to redeem oneself once again after what happened in the past life."
The man waiting for my answer kept watching my face through that red panel... his face looked like an ugly tomato with no charisma.
"I'll listen to what you think, okay?" Said the system man with a neutral expression, watching me non-stop.
When I went to read the red panel, it described:
______________
[Crimson Rebirth: By choosing this option, you would be reincarnated as a living being that is already in its early adult phase, becoming two in one... however, you will receive an unknown privilege that would only be revealed if you cut this panel in half with a blade of light].

______________
After the word (Unknown Privilege) for the rest of the description, the letters were glowing gold at the bottom of the panel, highlighting that this panel would need to be cut by a glowing blade in order to accept the destiny.
"Cutting a digital panel in half? What a strange action."
"Not everything has to make sense, kid. Just decide your fate." Said the man, with his arms crossed.
As much as there are unknown benefits, when I pressed the (Click here) button ... there was a small text that would be the opposite of what the green panel described, where the user would be more likely to become a very vulnerable target because of the future enemies that would seek out my skull.
In short, the green panel would give me progressive peace and eternal health, while the red panel would offer many adventures and dangers.
But there's one question that won't go away in front of the voices in my head that can't seem to solve a problem.
"What benefit would I receive if I chose red? Can't you at least give me a hint?"
The man before me pushed his chair back and sat down to answer me.
"Do you think life is a strawberry? I'm giving you a second chance, and you want more tea in your spoon?" He said with a tone of arrogance, implying that he wouldn't hint at the benefit that was described on the Red Panel.
I was at a loss as to what to say about this, my feelings suddenly becoming extremely insecure. In a way, it's nice to have a quiet life with no problems, but a fantasy life can be incredible precisely because of the supposed benefit that would possibly make me live better than if I were in eternal peace.
But I soon remember that I'm prone to many dangers, precisely because it's a fantasy... that there will also be supernatural situations.
"If you want the hint, you'll have to answer a personal question." Said the man sitting in front of me, putting a knife in his left hand to spin it around.
"And what would that question be?"
"The question is this, my insecure boy..." His words sounded intense, as if he was trying to puncture my confidence. "What's your type..."
With an unfinished sentence, he threw the knife toward my face... where everything moved in slow motion until it reached the destination of hitting my cheek.
