Chapter 19: Revived by a Melody (Part 2)

"Remind us again, how are you doing it?" Musa could be heard asking as she, her father, and Ben are walking up a long set of steps towards her mother's grave as the cemetery where she was buried is multiple sets of large floating islands by the coast.

"Well...." Ben began as he tried to think of a proper way to explain it before turning towards the two, "I'll be rewriting the timeline in order to make it as if your mother never died to begin with" Ben explained which sounded a lot simpler than it actually was.

"But why not just bring my wife back, why bother with the changes?" Musa's father asked making Ben let out a small sigh as he rubbed his forehead before he began explaining

"Because imagine one day a woman you thought dead suddenly sprung up from the grave. One of us, if not all of us, would probably be charged with necromancy." Ben explained and soon after they finally reached her mother's grave

"Alright, it'll be lights out for a few moments so don't panic" Ben said as he took in a deep breath before he activated the omnitrix and slammed down on the dial filling the area with green light.

"Wait what do you mean by lights out?!" Musa asked in a slightly panicked tone, but the newly transformed Celestialsapien didn't respond as he cracked his knuckles.

"Oh, you know, this timeline will temporarily stop as I do all the required changes" Alien X explained before taking a deep breath and spreading his arms out and saying "Anyways here we go" before bringing his hands together in a singular

CLAP!

A week.

That's how long it took for him to make all the changes.

'That took longer than expected' Alien X thought before letting out a long sigh as he rubbed his temples while standing next to a frozen Musa and her father, and while he was in no way tired physically, mentally however he was exhausted.

"I swear next time; I'm risking the necromancy charge" he said out loud as he then shifted his gaze to Musa's mothers coffin...well former coffin as on top of it laid Musa's mother sleeping.

"Ok, please don't freak out" He quietly prayed and with a quick snap of his fingers time resumed but just before he did that, he moved in front of their field of vision just so that they didn't freak out as soon as they saw her.

As soon as time resumed Musa blinked a couple of times as she just stared at before raising an eyebrow "Well?" Musa asked while wondering what he was doing just standing there

"Well, I hope you don't freak out" Alien X said as he slowly took a step to the side while also pressing the omnitrix symbol on his chest reverting back to normal and only then did they see her.

"M-Mom" Musa manages to stutter out before running to her side and begin shaking her while father just stands there stunned before slowly turning to look at Ben and thinking

'He did it.....he really did it' Ho-boe thought as he continued to stare at Ben who was walking over to Musa....well less walking, more running

"MUSA WAIT IT'S NOT A GOOD IDEA T-" He began yelling only for Matlin, Musa's mother to sit up screaming and end up instinctually punching Ben as what appeared to be an enchantix fairy's outfit flickers briefly replacing the clothes she was wearing, and said punch had enough force to send him flying towards the nearby ocean before a large SPLASH! Is heard as Ben crashes into the water with it almost looking as if a geyser had gone off leaving all 3 stunned.

"Huh....wait where am I?" Matlin said after a couple of moments as she looked around to see her surroundings since the last thing she remembers before waking up was her in a hospital bed slowly losing consciousness.

And that's when she sees them, she turns her head to the right and her eyes land on her daughter and husband

"Musa? Boe? What happened, my heads a bit fuzzy" Is all she managed to say before she felt arms wrapping around her which left her momentarily stunned as she then looked down to look at their faces

"A-are you two crying and wait...why do you look.....older?" Matlin said utterly confused until she caught sight of something behind her, turning her head, that's when she noticed it.

Her own grave.

"Are we there yet?"

"No"

"Are we there yet?"

"No"

"Are we-

"Dammit Dyna for the last time, no" A familiar voice could be heard saying sternly as a quick change of scenery to Andros reveals it to be Aisha and Dyna both of whom are currently flying next to a large, isolated island

Dyna scoffs at Aisha's words as she then pouts and crosses her arms "Are you sure we're even going right way" Dyna asked with her eyes only narrowing as she noticed Aisha suddenly gain a nervous expression

"Well, the map said that it should be nearby but....." Aisha trailed off but then she stopped as she saw something bubbling underneath the water's surface

"But what?" Dyna says putting her hands to her hips before she looks to where Aisha is looking and when she does Ben launches out of the water yelling something along the lines of 'WHAT THE FUCK!'

"Ben" The two say simultaneously as they blink dumbfounded as they watch Ben slowly rise higher into the sky before a bright green light fills the sky

"Well.....we didn't find the magic link but at least we found him" Dyna suddenly says gaining a wide smile as she flies up shortly followed by Aisha

"Stinkfly?" Ben could be heard saying as he looked down at his clawed hands before he then let out a long sigh before quietly saying "Of course, you gave me fucking Stinkfly instead of Big Chill or Jetray"

"Well, it's not so.....ok I can't lie you look pretty damn ugly" Dyna says completely unprompted as she flew up next to him, with him just giving her this deadpan expression

"Jeez thanks a lot, Dyna" Stinkfly says as all his eyes narrow before they suddenly widen in surprise. "Wait Dyna?!" Ben asked shocked as he expected her to stay back in pixie village after he told her he would be spending the break with Musa.

"What's wrong didn't expect your pixie to not come and find you" she says with a proud expression all the while Stinkfly just blinks at her.

"Well, kind of, considering you told me you would be staying back" Stinkfly said plainly causing Dyna to flinch before looking away and whistling

"Umm am I just going to be ignored?" Aisha could be heard saying from beside Stinkfly who just gave her a brief glance.

"Hmm....oh hey Aisha" Stinkfly says casually before he then turns his entire body towards her as his expression changes into one of shock "A-Aisha?!" He asked with so much shock in his voice that he instinctively slammed on the omnitrix symbol on his head.....in midair

Ben only realized his own stupidity moments afterward, "shit" was the only word to come out of his mouth before he then fell straight down but only for about 4 feet before the fairy of waves caught his hand.

"De-transforming in midair really?" Aisha asks, tilting her head to the side while trying to hold back her laughter as Ben just dangles there with an unamused expression.

"Ha ha ha.....like you've never been surprised by something" Ben said but eventually just sighed before smiling. "Well anyways it's good to see you again" he says as his magic winx outfit quickly manifests itself on his body as he flies up until they're eye to eye.

"So, care to explain why you were just shot out of a magical link?" Aisha finally decides to ask which kind of makes Ben nervous since....how is he supposed to explain what he just did.

"Ummm.....well.....you see" He begins to say but can't find the right words to explain but before he can, Ben gets hit upside the head by something that fell seemingly out of nowhere that appeared to be an....omnitrix core?

"Ouch what the fuck?!" Ben says with a sudden burst of anger while looking around before he freezes and turns as quick as he can towards Dyna who just puts her hands on her hips.

"Don't look at me, I didn't do anything" Dyna says looking Ben straight into his eyes, but before he can say anything else his phone begins ringing which draws his attention away from the pixie.

"Give me a moment you two" He mumbles as he digs his phone out of his pocket and shakes it slightly since it's still a bit wet after getting shot out of a magical link before checking to see who's calling him...it's Musa....crap he had forgotten all about her.

"Shit!" He says quickly all the while clearly panicking as he's stuffing his phone back into his pocket. "Sorry Aisha but I've gotta go, my girlfriend is waiting for me" Ben says before giving her a quick hug not noticing Aisha's eyes widening.

"Girlfriend?" Aisha asked quietly with hints of shock and sadness in her voice which Ben didn't notice as he turned to face her.

"Well technically it's girlfriends, it's a whole polyamory thing which is kind of hard to explain in a short amount of time" he says rubbing his temples before he begins to back up and fast.

"Kinda hard to explain in a hurry but don't worry I'll text you an explanation later" He says giving her an awkward smile before diving straight down back towards the magical link he had been shot out of earlier, with Dyna following after him while shouting something along the lines 'Hey wait!"

"But.....you know I, don't have a phone" Aisha says before looking down almost sad but it's only then that she spots it, the unmistakable green hourglass that makes up the omnitrix symbol, a core that seemingly belonged to an omnitrix device was stuck in the sand as it let out a small but barely noticeable beep almost as if sending a signal, though something notable about it is that it seems larger than the small and arguably tiny core that Ben has in his omnitrix. So whatever device it belongs to, is definitely much larger.

"What....." Is all she's able to let out before a sudden unease washes over her 'what the hell...I should go but I'll have to tell Ben about this later' She thinks before she flies away just barely missing a portal opening up, below.

Well....portal was the best way to describe it as it seemed that space and time seemed to morph around a certain area for a few more moments before a figure stepped out from it clad in a long black cloak.

It had no discernable face as the hood seemed to be enchanted causing his face which by normal means would be on full display or covered by a helmet, be replaced by a black void with the only thing visible being a pair of glowing completely green eyes which quickly lock on to what they appeared to be searching for.....the omnitrix core.

The figure walked over to it before kneeling down as it then slowly reached up for its hood before pulling it back revealing briefly revealing a black helmet with large green eyes, two antennae and some type of mechanized jaw where the person's mouth is as they then reach for the back of the helmet as a small *click* sound is heard as the mechanized jaw retracts allowing the figure to take their helmet off showing the figure to be...Ben?

"Oh Naru.....what am I going to do with you?" Ben could be heard sighing as he put the helmet down in the sand before a small smile appeared on his face as he crouched down, picking up the core and wiping off the few grains of sand that had gotten into its internal components

"Then again...." He began to say as he turned to walk towards the portal while using his free hand to pick up his helmet. "It's also technically Umino's fault for sending her omni drivers core into another universe.....oh well I told them not to mess with it" Ben continued only to start using his left hand to rub his forehead before letting out a sigh while his other hand which still held the core moved down to touch some sort of device on his waist which was held by a belt, there in the center of the device a core could be seen similar to the one he was holding.

"And....I for one...can't wait until they improve and can take over so I don't have to keep sullying your legacy by continuing to wear this driver.......Takeshi.....Hongo-sensei" Ben suddenly said quietly, his voice filled with sadness and disappointment in himself while instinctually reaching for his neck area almost as if trying to reach for a scarf that was once there.

Ben stayed that way for a long time as soon tears begin to roll down his cheeks before he then wordlessly lifted up his helmet and put it on with the mechanical jaws snapping shut before he then lifted up his hood with the enchantment reapplying itself over his face as its once again covered in darkness leaving only a pair of green eyes visible who's glow slightly increased before dimming back to normal.

Ben continued walking before he stopped and pressed on a button on top of the device which caused the core to pop forward as it displayed what appeared to be a motorcycle design facing forward with an R behind it as he then places his free hand on the core as he could then be heard quietly saying "Henshin" before pressing inward as the last thing that could be heard before he passed through the portal was the device letting out a loud sound and it sounded something like a feminine voice yelling "Ichigo!"

Meanwhile back with Ben and Dyna the two had begun flying over to Musa's parents' house since they weren't at the cemetery where Ben last saw them.

"So let me get this straight.....you brought her mom back to life?" Dyna asks which causes Ben to turn around and give her this look that says 'really'

"Yes...Dyna, we had an entire conversation with everyone about this not even two days ago, how do you not remember?" Ben asked, raising an eyebrow all the while Dyna just whistled nervously before she then figured out how to get herself out of this situation.

"You know....." She began to say before wiggling her eyebrows at him "She might give you a little something after this as a reward, if you know what I mean~" Dyna said all the while Ben just stared blankly at her.

"Dyna I....I seriously doubt sex is going to be the first thing on Musa's mind considering, oh I don't know" He trailed off before his gaze turned deadly serious. "HER MOTHER JUST CAME BACK TO LIFE" He emphasized before letting out a sigh and shaking his head, as he was feeling rather disappointed in his partner pixie for thinking those types of things

"Yeah, you're right.....but if you ever need me to leave the room~" Dyna began to say which only made Ben sigh once more.....honestly he felt like he's sighed today more times than he has ever had to in his life.

"Fine if Musa really does want to have sex, I'll tell you to leave the room.....happy?" Ben said defeated before letting out a small sigh all the while Dyna just gave him this cheeky grin.

"Ve-' SMACK!

Unfortunately, Dyna's words were interrupted mid conversation as the two were so focused on talking that they failed to realize that they had arrived at Musa's house which ultimately culminated in the two hitting their living room window like a bunch of blind birds

"Umm.....Musa is that?"

"My boyfriend...yes"

Meanwhile within Musa's home, her and her parents, who are in their kitchen, are all just staring at the window looking at the two idiots still on the window but eventually Ben turns his head to look at her before giving them a nervous smile

"Uhh...my bad?" Ben could be heard saying from the other side of the window though his voice is a bit muffled due to him being outside or at least that was until he just outright phases through the window shortly followed by Dyna who grabs onto his leg since without taking a little bit of ectonurite DNA from him, she wouldn't be able to otherwise.

"Are you.....ok?" Musa decided to ask considering how hard her mom hit him, plus the bruise that was just now forming on his cheek looked terrible.

Ben blinked confused for a few moments as he thought 'why wouldn't I be, ok?' but as he then reached for his cheek he flinched as he felt a sudden sting from touching the bruise.

And once he removed his hand, he saw.....blood? 'How the hell did Aisha not notice' was the only thought going through his head as he brought his hand forward to see the few droplets of blood closer

"Damn.....I think mom did you worse than that Eon guy ever did" Musa said cringing slightly as sure, in their fights with the tricks they've gotten bruises and bleed but those never lasted long thanks to magic winx's minor regenerative properties, but Ben's bruise looked genuinely awful as it was almost entirely purple and black with tiny amounts of blood leaking out

"Yeah, no kidding" Ben eventually answered before briefly focusing as he used his genetic magic to rapidly heal his cheek, though now he had other things to worry about. "So, how's your mom" Ben just had to ask although from the talking in the kitchen he could tell that at the very least she's ok.

"She's..." Musa begins saying before turning to look at her mother who seems to be having a rather heated discussion over how to cook a certain dish, but this causes Musa to only smile "Just how I remember her"

"That's great, still can't believe she hit me that hard" Ben said rubbing his cheek as even after regenerating he still felt some slight soreness

"Yeah, but you'll be fine you big baby" Musa teased as she lightly punched him in his shoulder as he let out a small scoff, but he smiled anyways.

"Whatever you say" Ben said while playfully rolling his eyes not noticing Musa give a brief glance in her parents' direction and once she knew they weren't looking, she got onto her tiptoes giving him a peck on the lips, surprising him.

"Huh?" Was all that Ben being able to let out before Musa shoved his suitcase into his hands causing him to stumble back as he looked at Musa surprised.

"Here, put your stuff in my room and I'll call you once dinners ready, ok?" Musa said as Ben only nodded while leaning down giving her a peck on the lips before walking away to her room not noticing Musa's mom snicker much to Musa's embarrassment

Meanwhile with Ben he let out a small grunt as he put his suitcase down next to Musa's bed, he was originally supposed to sleep on the couch but that was quickly put down by Musa who insisted on sharing the bed with him.

"Then again it's not so bad" he said out loud as he walked over to the window opening the curtains before letting out a small sigh as the sunlight hit him before he then smiled, yes...things were perfect and honestly.

He wouldn't have it any other way.
