The house of Yue (II)

Sheng Qin who is helped by Fu Man stop walking when they reach a particular room. "Fu Man can you show Hu LI the guest room please. I would like to pay my respects to the ancestors." Fu Man smile and nod his head. He signal Hu Li to follow him. She follow Fu Man however her eyes scan through the room. She understand what she sees. She remain quiet for she feels that it will not harm anyone. 

After Fu Man show her to the guest room. She walk around the room. Rather simple and clean. Outside is another courtyard. She walk out and look up the sky. Her eyes look far into the dark sky. This time, she is able to see the moon surface. She try to look for Chang'er and the rabbit but she can't see them anywhere. It's already a thousand years have pass, could it be that Change'er is released from her punishment?

Something linger behind her, she turn around. Sheng Qin smile and limp towards her. "I have just gone to inform my parents and ancestors that i am save and now at home."

"I think they will be happy."

"Yes they must be. I asked those ladies to prepare dinner and bring it to here."

After dinner, Hu Li help him to his room. After she her him in, she walk around in his room and outside the corridor. With her ability she sees some light floaters. They seems to be protecting the energy in these areas. A strange light is glowing in the room where he had pray to his ancestors. She slowly walk towards the room. The door is wide open hence she walk in. The door shut by itself gently. She is not surprise and look ahead. 

"Thank you for protecting Sheng Qin. We will be in debt to you, master."

"I did nothing. You can revel yourself. I am not afraid."

A man and a woman appear. They look ghostly pale with a deep slash on their throats. "Who are you both?"

"We are Sheng Qin's parents. We cannot leave and go to the after life. We are worried for him."

"Even thou the old servants remain on his side. He is still ... "

"He have a weakness. His eyes are unwell or weak."

"What do you mean?"

"He can see but in his world, he seems like he can't tell the colors and objects apart. We are worry that he will get into trouble later in life."

"I don't see any problem...oh... No wonder" 

Hu Li then remember that he is not afraid of her when he first see her. He doesn't know that she is different from all humans. 

"Master, if you can. Please stay with Sheng Qin. He is the only one in this family who is alive. We are afraid that His life will be in danger. The one who kill us is still out there. He will come again. Please we beg of you."

"I cannot stay for long. I have to return where i should be."

His dead parents looks sad and dissapointed. With the ghostly looks, they look terrible. Hu Li feel sad for them. They are without a physical body to protect their son and a killer is still out there waiting. Hu Li is thinking how to help and return home fast. 

"Let me think how to resolve this."

They bow to her and disappear just then Sheng Qin appear asking if she wants some fruits. 

The next day Sheng Qin finds Hu Li laying down the couch next to his bed. She is napping as usual. Soon she open her eyes with slight sound. 

"I ask Fu Man to give you a room, why didn't you sleep in there?"

"I prefer to have you around. I dont want to be alone."

He smile as he gets up to the basin to wash his face. He takes a brush to brush his teeth. Hu Li lay on the couch and watch with interest. 

"What are you dong?"

"Brushing my teeth. Make my teeth look clean. Don't you brush your teeth?"

"No. Let me try."

She gets up and rush to grab the toothbrush from him. Sheng Qin got surprise at how fast she gets to him from the couch. He try again to see her face when she is so close to him now. While Hu Li is still trying to grab the toothbrush, her chest keep rubbing his chest. Sheng Qin feels so conscious that he let her grab the toothbrush. Hu Li hold the toothbrush and touch the bristles, they are rough like some sort of animal hair. The handle that is holding the bristles is made from a tough structure like wood. She put it in her mouth like how she sees Sheng Qin does it. While Sheng Qin is feeling strange and touch his own chest. His face is rather red. After awhile, he see Hu Li put his toothbrush in her mouth, he try to take it back. She run away with it. So that morning, he spend time chasing Hu Li after that he teach her to spat the water out of the mouth. The old servants who are watch are delighted with a young girl that Sheng Qin brings back. She brings out the youth that he should have instead of constant frowning over money. They hope that she will stay and maybe marry Sheng Qin. 

In the afternoon, Hu Li follow him to a shop. Inside, the men are grooming for a better look. Hu Li sit on the side and watch. Sheng Qin lay down on the bed. The man put on a soap all over his chin and start to shave the beard. Later, he clean up the face with a hot towel. Hu Li also see that there is another room where a lot of men are in there. It is sort of like a stream bath room. She walk near and want to go in there but she is stop by the worker. She constantly try to look but she is block by the worker. So sitting back at her corner, she used her ability to look far. Inside she see a lot of men, most of them are naked. What comes in a surprise for her is that all the men have a tail. She tilt her head and wonder if all men have a tail at the front. In this case, does all female like her have their tails behind? She continue to watch those men. The worker look up and see something strange about her. He walk near her to see her eyes glow, he scream. Hu Li look at him with those golden eyes that is fill with electricity. In his fear and panic, he throw the basin of water in his hands and scream while running. Those who not sure what is going on scream too and panic. Everyone run out of the stream bath room. Sheng Qin push himself up and wonder what is going on. The worker who run outside of the shop scream 

"There is a demon!"

"Where? Inside?!"

the shop owner come running out and slap the worker.

"What are you talking about?! It's broad daylight now! How there is a demon? I told you not to take naps now you are still asleep aren't you?!"

"No Boss! There is a demon! She is sitting there!"

Hu Li who is watching from the inside now understands what DI Jun means that human is afraid of the unknown. She is a demon, according to them however she is not the kind who kill unnecessarily. Hu Li doesn't have that emotion and knowledge yet. She is still learning from good and bad.
