The house of Yue (IV)

Sheng Qin and Hu Li watch and waited for awhile. They hear the tiles are moved at the rooftop. They both sense it's only one man now. Suddenly a smoke bomb is thrown into the room. Sheng Qin is knock out immediately. Hu Li continue to pretend to be asleep. The assassin drop in and creep up to Sheng Qin before he can strike, Hu Li catch him by his neck. The man is surprise and not able to react fast.. He try to attack Hu Li however she hold him down. 

"Who sent you here?"

"I dont... OUCH PAIN PAIN!!"

"One more time! who!"

" Yuan Meng Ting! Yuan Meng Ting! Let me... "

The assassin immediately drop and falls asleep. Hu Li guess that the smoke bomb might be the one causing them to fall asleep. She drag the assassin out of the room to the woodshed. He is tied up together with the other three men. Using the spell she knows, she make them sleep for a long time. Later she will come back to ask more questions before she wipe out their memory. For now, she feel like she need to find out more of this Yuan Meng Ting and pay him a visit. 

Hu Li walk around the busy market asking around where to find Yuan Meng Ting however no now seems to know who this person is. After asking around the whole morning, she got tired. She return to the House of Yue to find some of the old folks getting busy. 

"Miss Bai, young master seems to be in a bad mood."

"Bad mood?"

"We tried to wake up those bad men in the woodshed but none of them have any reaction. However they are all breathing. So strange."

Hu Li walk to the bedroom to find Sheng Qin with his brush and ink. He is busy writing on a paper. She sit down quietly beside him. When he is done, he turn to his left to look at Hu Li. For a while he did not say anything but he reach out to hold her hand. "Don't disappear in the morning without telling me where you are going. I thought you have return to your place. I can't find you ..." 

For the first time, Hu Li feel something strange in her heart hearing this. She reach out and pat his hair repeatedly. "I will tell you when the time comes for me to go home." 

That evening Hu Li again walk out alone. She is asking around till she got bored. She see a group of men loading carts of boxes on it. Once they are done, they place a seal over it and ropes to tie and secure it and they all leave with those carts. Hu Li continue to loiter around and ask around casually however seems like no one knows who this person is. 

She walks back to the house of Yue and into the courtyard, the light floaters are there. She look at them and follow them to the ancestor tablet room. The door is close gently and they appear. Both of them bow 

"Master. The name Yuan Ming Ting is not a person's name."

"It is the name of an escort agency."

"Why didn't you tell me earlier? I spend so much useless time."

"You went out in rush, we can't follow you out. Our boundary is within this house."

"The name Yuan Ming Ting comes from the man's name. His name is Yuan Ming."

"He lives in the west suburb. While the escort agency is within the center of the city. My Sheng Qin joined his escort team on the last few round to AnWan County when they are all killed. He must have something to do with it."

"He was a partner of the escort agency with my father. He framed my father and took over the agency. He wanted the royal job title as the royal family used our agency to escort monthly on jewellers and gold bars."

"Our family did not want to fight with him. We give it up but he still wants us dead. Shen Qin is the only one that carries our family blood. We just want him to live. We believe Sheng Qin is also thinking the same way. We live for our family. Nothing more nothing less. "

" I will look for him and ask him what does he wants."

"Thank you master for helping the Yue family."

the next day, Hu Li goes out after telling Sheng Qin she is going to walk around to see what interesting things in the market. He is reluctant to allow Hu LI to leave him for awhile but he is rushing to copy the books for the book store. Before she leaves she promise to return before dinner. He watch her walk out of the main door and he sigh. He worry that she will lost her way or bring some stray animals back to the residence, that will incur some coins to feed them. 

Hu Li stands in front of the house of Yuan. The mansion is very grand and big. She attempts to walk in but she is stop by the man at the main door. He rush in to inform the owner. Soon she is invited in. Hu Li stroll in and look everywhere. It is almost like a grand place of the sky but it does not have that holy energy that the sky have. She sees there are young man and young girls going around doing some work. The man at the main door show her to a room for visitors. Inside the room are display of many art works like porcelains, paintings and some various stones. She look around with curiosity. Till someone walk in. 

"Hello, you are from the family of Yue?"

"Are you Yuan Ming?"

A middle age man in fine clothes appear. He have a neat hair style as if he is a scholar. He have a jade waist belt to show off his wealth. His small slit eyes stare at her. 

"Yes I am a family friend of the Yue."

"Why are you here?" 

He walk to the end of the room and sit at the chair with tea. He pour a cup for himself and stare at her. She stare at him too. 

"I am here to ask you politely to stop sending people over to the house of Yue. We don't have many rooms to put up so many men." 

He looks surprise and about to say something when someone run in. 

"My Lord look at these..."

A lady rush in with some flowers in her hands but when she see Hu Li, she bend over in fear. She rush to the book shelves at the far end corner. 

"Meng Lan! What are you doing?"

"I... i suddenly want to find a book. Please go on your conversation." 

Hu Li and her stare at each other for awhile. The lady's eyes are glowing in red. Hu Li smile and look at Yuan Ming. 

"What i wanted to say, i already have said it. So please, stop."

She bow and look at the lady who is hiding. She turn and leave the room. Interesting, there is another creature in this capital.
