Chapter 5 : Younger Brother And Family

After a while, Oliver had woken up, he looked towards Nathaniel, who was beside still fast asleep, but he still felt another presence nearby, he looked forward and saw Albert was watering the plants and flowers that was grown in the Astrum garden. When Albert saw he had woken up, Albert approached him, and smiled. 

"I see that you have woken up, Young Master. Did you rest well?"

 Albert asked him, Oliver yawned a little, but he covered it with his palm, since it's not really noble to yawn in front of anyone or whatever was in that book of rules that he read a week ago. 

"Yes, I did. Albert, can you get a cup of tea? I'm quite thirty…" 

Oliver answered him, before asking him to get him a cup of tea, my throat was quite dry after that little nap. Oliver had gotten used to this noble and Young Master of a Duchy things that he got to do, his Mother from his world did say that he was a fast learner and can adapt to new things faster too. 

"Of course, Young Master." 

Albert answered him as he went inside to get some tea, Oliver has just standing up to stretch a little, when at the same time Nathaniel had just woken up from his nap. Oliver laughed because it seems his new friend was still half awake right now, it seems Nathaniel was quite the heavy sleeper, after a while of what it seems like Nathaniel was collecting himself and trying to get back to his senses. 

"Olie…?" 

The tired Nathaniel said, Oliver was in quite the surprise. But he covered quickly and now it was his turn to caught Nathaniel off guard. He smiled as he answers him. 

"Yes, dear Dongsaeng?" 

Oliver answered calmly, Nathaniel suddenly just jolted in surprise and stared at Oliver intensely, did Nathaniel heard that right? Oliver who saw Nathaniel expression just laugh more. But, honestly since he's not really that close with the Original Oliver's siblings, he can still have a little brother, Nathaniel is a year younger than him anyways. 

"Oh, c'mon, Nathaniel. We're already like siblings anyway, we somehow always find to way to bicker about everything almost like siblings would, so it shouldn't be that surprising..."

Oliver said to Nathaniel as he chuckled, Nathaniel opened his mouth to say something, but he closed it again because he couldn't think about what to say. Nathaniel then felt like he's dreaming because the second Young Master of the Star Duchy just called him Dongsaeng. Dongsaeng as in little brother. 

Albert, who saw everything that happened smiled as he went outside with a tray with two cups of tea on it, he approached the Young Master and his friend, thinking about he still always called Nathaniel as his Young Master's friend, not by his name.

"Young Master, Young Nathaniel, here's your cups of tea…" 

Albert gave the cups of tea to his Young Master and Young Nathaniel, and Albert doesn't mind serving two people at the same time, since now his Young Master had officially acknowledged Young Nathaniel as his little brother. 

Albert now really wants to see the Young Master's older brother reaction on this fact, and how the Young Master's family reaction, since the Young Master was quite unfriendly to his own family. But, right now the Young Master was really friendly and even calls a peasant his little brother. 

"Thank you, Mister Chamberlain…" 

Nathaniel thanked Albert, Albert had been really nice to him ever since he and Oliver became friends, he was really grateful of all the times when a servant didn't believe Nathaniel when he said he was friends with Young Master Oliver, but Albert came and confirmed that he wasn't lying. 

"Please just call me Albert from now on, Young Nathaniel…"

Albert corrected Nathaniel, since now Nathaniel is officially the Young Master sworn brother, Albert is now both of their butlers, twice the work, yes, but honestly, he thinks it won't something that tiring because he's supposed to be the best butler of all the land of Galaxias. Two Young Master would be a breeze for him, nothing that hard.

It was dinner time with the Eldridge family, awkward silence fell on the dinner table, especially at Oliver who was peacefully eating in silence. Eric Eldridge, Oliver's elder brother that had returned to the Star Duchy after studying aboard for 5 years broke the awkward silence with a fake cough.

"So, Oliver, how have you been doing these 5 years…?"

Eric asked his younger brother, who he hadn't met for quite a long, Oliver has grown amazingly these 5 years, Oliver had seems to be more mature than ever. They weren't really in good terms with each other, but Eric was going to slowly try fixing their relationship.

"I've been quite well…"

Oliver answered his brother, the Original Oliver would just ignore his elder brother, but for the new Oliver, he thinks it's better if he and Eric were in good terms again with each other. He can help Eric to become Duke like how it happened in the game, Eric was the best choice to become Duke. 

After all, right now, Oliver doesn't have the qualifications on becoming Duke, and he also rather not become Duke, the amount of responsibility and work that you have to do is amazing. And also, the people in the Star Duchy is annoying most of the time, the amount of things they want is ridiculous sometimes, it's going to be tiring keeping the peoples favors all at the same time, while tons of paperwork is at your table. So, Oliver rather not become Duke.

"I see, that's great then…"

Eric said to Oliver's response, his expressions is neutral, but inside he was so very happy that his younger brother actually answered, the last time they talked was before the 'accident'. Because, every time Eric tried to talk with Oliver after that accident, Oliver would never respond or even looked at him.

Maybe there is a chance for them have to reconciliation after everything that had happened between them all those years ago, maybe either Oliver or I had changed or maybe we both have changed after these few years of not seeing each other that often, Eric is not going to waste this chance, maybe not forgiveness, but at least a second chance.

Their family had been watching the awkward interaction between them, Duke Everard had noted that both brothers might be together as they were supposed to be, Eric as the Duke and Oliver as his advisor and administrator of everything and anything that happened in the Star Duchy. 

Silvia, who had been watching both of her big brothers was happy seeing them getting along again, she may be just 7 years old, but she understood how awkward and complicated the relationship between her brothers are. Maybe, big brother Oliver will take her walking to strolls by the market on capital of the Star Duchy like he used to in the past after big brother Eric left.
