"Make much sense," Ryuk thought in his head.
From the threats that the Half-Fallen one had told him about the balance of the world, if the Ascension Academy, the seeming pillar against these external forces, was rife with students bullying each other, creating flames of mistrust amongst everyone—then how the hell was the Academy even able to stand as the focal point against the incoming danger?
To invoke such harsh punishments, like death and jail terms for the geniuses for whatever damage they did to others of their own, was a good way to force harmonious relationships, as the majority of the students would know better than to provoke others.
Reckless actions could easily end with severe consequences that might lead to very heavy prices that even the pompous genius will find hard to pay.
It was a law that Ryuk kind of loved—not like he'd ever be at the end of a bullying case.
