Dragwolf

Tayo(7) woke up a few hours later with a sharp pain in his leg, it was broken. He slowly adjusted himself and looked around he has landed on one of the ledges that extended out of the cliff.

But he was way too far down to climb back up. The ledge was small with little space to to manuveare. It was already night fall and 7 knew that most of the monsters come out at night to hunt, he knew he had to figure out what to do as soon as possible or he would soon fall prey to monsters of paradise garden. His thoughts got sidetracked again, thinking why anyone would call this paradise garden. This is the furthest thing from a paradise, he thought to himself. The sharp pain from his leg brought him back to reality. He looked at his medicine balls, he had one left, but he couldn't remember whether he had taken more than he was supposed to take.. He remembered having a few more fatal injuries before the dragwolves encounter. But he knew he had to take the last medicine ball, than to seat there waiting to die either from a predator finding him or from starvation. At least with the medicine he had a chance to fight for his life, he would rather die fighting than die a miserable pathetic death or because of the fear the unknown.

So he took last medicine ball. And waited, adjusting and resting himself properly on the ledge. In no time he should be ready to go.

Meanwhile back under the dome, All the remaining returning soldiers gathered in a large hall. Waiting for the colonel to address them. Taeesha(10) desperately looked around for (7) she had been looking forward to seeing him after their last conversation. She searched and scanned through the crowd he was nowhere to be found.

Then she saw david(9) and Mary(25), she ran up to them excited asking them where 7 was. 9 looked away sad and 25 hugged her sobbing. 10 immediately pulled her away, her hands placed fimly on 25 shoulders, she asked her what happened to 7.

9 and 25 explained everything to her and she fell to her knees with with little streams of tears rolling from her eyes.

At that moment the colonel walked in.

He immediately welcomed the soldiers back.

Soldiers of jeh welcome back, I wish it was on a better note that you guys are back here but unfortunately it's not. As you have been informed the plague is back. But thanks to you all bringing back the special blue boxes we would be to able end it just as quickly as it reared it ugly head.

Rest, visit family, in seven days you will all be sent back to complete the mission.

And remember when when visiting families, wear the protective gear to keep you from contacting the plague.

Do you understand? he asked.

Sir yes sir, the soldier replied.

You are dismissed.

Everyone quickly dispersed.

But 10 quickly chased after the colonel.

Excuse me colonel, she said running after him.

Shouldn't you be preparing to go see your family 10, the colonel replied

I need you to send me into paradise garden right now sir. 10 replied.

The colonel stopped in his track, looked back, excuse me? he asked trying to understand what he just heard.

I believe 7 might still be alive, and might need help.....

Oh I understand now, The colonel interrupted.. Look I don't know what relationship you have with this person. But if he is still out there, there is a 96 percent chance that he is already dead. Let it go soldier.

With all due respect sir, I can't. If there is a chance that 7 is alive I have to try.. Even if it's a 4 percent chance, I will take it; 10 replied.

The colonel slowly walked towards 10.

And he looked at her dead in the eye.

It not up for debate soldier. Whatever you have planned, I suggest you stand down. We will return in 7 days. Then you can look for this 7. But till then stand down; He warned.

Please sir, I'm asking you to send only me, nobody else need to get hurt; 10 pleaded.

Do you have any prove that he is alive, The colonel asked.

Not really; 10 stammered.

So you asking me to send you into the second most dangerous place on the planet to save someone and you have no prove he or she is alive. How does that sound to you?

I'm not risking a soldier who is alive for someone who most likely dead. We don't have many soldiers left, everyone number is important.

The answer is no. Go home 10. He replied and walked away leaving her devastated in the middle of the corridor.

10 went home to see her family, but she didn't stay too long, and after a few hours of hanging out with her family she headed for 7's house. When she got there, she learnt that they were in the hospital because his dad has been seriously affected by the plague and he is in intensive care unit being treated.

When she arrived at the hospital,she asked the receptionist Tayo(7) family was, after being directed to their location she found 7's brother Malin in a wheelchair in the Icu ward by the bed of his dad.

She went there, hugging Malin. Malin was pleased to see she was ok.

He then looked around, and then straight at 10, where is tayo(7)?

10 looked at him and shook her head, he couldn't make it back with us. She whispered

Malin pulled her to the corridor, to make sure his dad doesn't hear anything that might upset his health further.

Is he dead? Malin asked at the verge of tears.

There's no concrete prove that he is.. 10 replied.

So there is a chance, that he might still be alive?, Malin asked.

Yes but it's a tiny chance, I don't want to get your hopes up 10 replied.

Taeesha hope is all I have now. As long as there is a chance, I will take it., Malin replied.

Are they sending people to look for him? Malin asked.

The colonel refused to send anyone,, but don't worry I'm going to sneak into the facility later to use the teleport machine to go into paradise garden to find him.

If he is alive, I promise I will find him. She replied

I can't let you do that, only against the hoard of monsters on the other side of the dome. We can't loose both of you; Malin pleaded.

You won't lose me, and hopefully you won't lose Tayo too. She assured him.

After talking for few more minutes she left, to prepare for the mission.

After about 30 minutes, 7 realized he could move his perfectly with no pain at all, he immediately knew he was back to perfect condition. As he was still adjusting and checking what assessories he had left. He felt trying on his neck trying to enter his ear.

It was a small brain devourer, 7 quickly caught and stabbed it, killing it. It was then he noticed the big hole in the cliff just above his head.

Then he heard it, a swarm of the bugs rushing through the tunnel heading to the hole that led out to where he was. 7 stood up and peered through the hole he saw in the distance a large number of adult brain devourer bugs heading towards him.

He quickly fired his hook gun to the top of cliff, dragging it, it fell back without hooking on anything.. He tried it again and ended up with the same result.

The bugs were getting closer, so he pulled out an explosive and put it in the hole set the timer to 30 seconds. Tied his rope on the edge of the ledge, and lowered himself down to the ledge below just in the nick of time. The bugs were already rushing out, then the bomb went off, scattering a bunch of rocks everywhere. Luckily the falling rock didn't hit him. A lot of bugs survived and they started to climb down the cliff heading towards 7.

But that wasn't the only thing he had to worry about, you see the sound of the explosion caught another unwanted attention. "the dragwolves" three of them flew over the cliff and as soon as they spotted 7, they swooped down. But 7 wasn't scared, he was actually relieved, that was his way out.

The bugs were a already attacking, and 7 was fighting them off as much as he could. but it was like they were multiplying. Luckily one the dragwolves came very close and unleashed it fire breath towards 7, but he dodged it by jumping off the ledge and grabbing a hold of one of the limbs of the dragwolves.

This caused the dragwolf to be restless trying desperately to shake 7 off, but 7 held on even tighter. And the rest of the dragwolves couldn't use their fire breath with the fear of hurting one of their own. The dragwolf realized that 7 was not going to let go. It flew higher, rising from the gap till it got to the top of the cliff, immediately it got there 7 jumped down safely at the top of the cliff or so he thought.

As he looked around he saw another a half dozen dragwolves staring straight at him. And then the biggest one he had seen so far stepped out, it was like the alpha of the dragwolves, but it was a female, a queen.

7 pulled out his Guns and and prepped his super speed.

There was a brief silence, a chill in the air, 7 kept his eye on the queen as he took deep heavy breath.

The queen roared, and all the dragwolves attacked at once. One released their fire breath on him, but he dodged it with ease thanks to his super speed. He made up his mind, he wasn't going to die. He went into berserker mode, brutally murdering two dragwolves with precision. Then he killed a third, but then the queen adjusted her eyes to slow motion only the queen has that ability. She was then able to tackle 7 straight to the floor.

She pinned him down, her sharp teeth hovering over his face, drool from her mouth

Fell on 7 face. He tried to move but he couldn't, she was bigger stronger. She opened her mouth wide getting ready to burn his face off with her fire breath. But that was when 7 developed a second ability, intangibility, he quickly phased out of her grip, climbed unto her back, pulled out a knife and phased his hand through her tough external amour till he got to her heart but he didn't stab it.

I don't know if you can understand me, but if you can I need you to listen any sudden movement and you are dead.

I don't wanna kill you, I didn't wanna kill any of your pack. You all attacked me first, and I defended myself.. 7 explained.

The queen stayed perfectly still like she understood.

You killed some of my friends and I killed some of yours, let call it a truce. And I'm going to spare your life you owe me that much, 7 added.

He his hand out came down from it back and stepped away slowly, the queen turned facing 7 the rest of the pack also watched on.

7 dropped his knife and kicked it away. I don't want to hurt you.

The queen growled at him, moving closer.

But that was when the effects of the last medicine ball he took kicked in, he held his chest and collapsed to the ground.

The queen was confused for a bit, but soon she realized he was dying.

She walked towards him used her teeth to pick him carried and flew him back to their cave.

And when they got there, she placed him down, she used her claws to cut open 7 arm

Then she cut open her arm and she squeezed her blood into 7 open wound..

The queen wound closed immediately, her healing factor is out of this world. The queen of the dragwolves blood is the antidote for poison, sickness or injuries.

Even a tiny drop is enough to fix any injury.

The queen layed down beside 7 covered him with her wings. He has her blood, 7 is now a child the dragwolves.

7 woke the next morning, feeling stronger than ever. He saw the baby dragwolf cuddled by his side still sleeping. Then saw the queen looking at him, still observing him.

The rest of the pack brought some raw animal meat to 7 for him to eat.

It immediately dawned on him that the dragwolves saw him as part of the pack.

Then he suddenly sniffed the air, it was familiar, it was Taeesha. It was 10, he ignored it, because there was no way she was in paradise garden. The scent hit him a gain and this Time it brought about a visual representation with it. He could suddenly see her through her scent. She was here in paradise garden.

7 didn't know how he could do this., is this another ability he had unlocked, but doe everyone have one but he has three abilities.

But this very ability is result of the dragwolf blood running through his veins now. Of course he doesn't know this..

He turned to the queen and the rest of the wolves pack, thank you for sparing my life, I can't really what happened after her spared yours, but I guess you spared mine in return.

He said.

The queen howled, but 7 could understand what she said.

I understand you, he replied how do I understand you?

Cos I saved you with my blood, you collapsed and I saved you, my blood runs through you now, the queen replied.

Before he could reply again.

He sniffed 10 scent again.

He told the queen that wants to go save 10. The queen and the whole pack followed him.

You are part of the pack now, you are our responsibility, the replied.

The queen flew him to 10's location

When she saw the dragwolves she engaged her lightning abilities ready to fight but, then she saw 7 on top of the queen's back tell her to stand down.

The queen landed and they ran to hug each other.

She was so relieved to see him alive. She couldn't hold back her tears.

I thought I lost you; she said.

It doesn't matter what you thought, I'm here now, it's ok.

The she kissed him, passionately with tears still rolling down her cheeks.

Then he turned around facing the wolves.

10 I like you to meet the dragwolves my second family; He announced.
