Avalon Residence —
The next day.
"Well…?" Aiden fixed his gaze on the group in front of him, waiting for an answer with his arms crossed and a slight frown on his face.
"….." x5.
Silence hung heavy in the air as the five visitors exchanged glances, as if trying to decide who would speak first.
"Well? What is a troublesome group like yours doing in my house?"
He crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow with an inquisitive expression.
"Hmm… if I remember correctly, Kurumi gave Le Fay and Kuroka permission to come, but…"
His sharp eyes scanned Vali, Bikou, Arthur, Le Fay, and Kuroka, analyzing them carefully.
"It's not that I mind your visit or anything…"
His voice carried a faint hint of irony as he tilted his head in a nonchalant gesture.
"But honestly, I don't see why two muscle-headed idiots would waste their time in my humble abode."
Aiden pointed his finger at Bikou and Vali, making it clear how little he thought of their intelligence.
The mockery in his tone was unmistakable—almost too obvious to ignore.
Then, he shifted his gaze to Arthur, studying his composed expression.
"And someone as serious as you… you're only here to escort your sister, right?"
The veins on Vali and Bikou's foreheads seemed ready to burst, a clear sign that their egos had taken a hit.
However, Arthur, true to his unshakable nature, remained impassive, not even blinking at the remark.
On the other hand, Le Fay and Kuroka let out amused giggles, enjoying the spectacle.
"Though, well… I can understand why Le Fay and this lewd cat decided to come."
His eyes landed on the blonde sorceress and the carefree feline.
Le Fay had probably come to play, or more likely, to ask Natsumi to teach her magic or something along those lines.
Natsumi had mentioned to Aiden that Le Fay was quite talented and was actually creating a magic formula of her own.
He didn't mind helping her; after all, he found Le Fay cute, and besides, she loved magic too, so… why not?
As for Kuroka… she had probably just gotten bored and decided to tag along with Le Fay for fun.
"Nyaa!"
Suddenly, Kuroka huffed, ready to pounce on Aiden with a mischievous smile and eyes gleaming with playfulness.
But before she could move, a magical flash materialized in the air, and glowing chains wrapped around her with precision, stopping her in her tracks.
"Don't cause trouble, Kuroka…"
Le Fay's sigh was a mix of patience and exasperation as she firmly controlled the chains with a slight movement of her hand.
"Nyaa! What the hell is up with this spell…?"
Kuroka squirmed, trying to break free, but the chains subtly drained her demonic power and youki at an alarming rate.
"It's sucking out my demonic power and youki… When the hell did you create this thing, nyaa?"
Her tone shifted from surprise to genuine suspicion as she eyed Le Fay with a hint of unease.
It wasn't the first time she had fallen into one of her magical traps, but this… this was different.
Sure, her magic had improved a lot since Aiden gave her the spell to accelerate her thoughts… but this was on another level.
"Don't cause trouble, Kuroka. Really, you should try behaving more like a lady."
Le Fay sighed in resignation before making the chains disappear with a simple snap of her fingers, releasing her from their magical grasp.
"Nyaa~, but it's this old man's fault, desu~! Who in their right mind would call a girl as cute as me a 'lewd cat,' nya? Isn't it obvious that he's wrong?"
Kuroka stretched gracefully, flashing a teasing smile and fixing her playful gaze on Aiden.
The tic on Aiden's forehead became more pronounced, his patience rapidly wearing thin.
"Or maybe the years are already messing with your head, nya~?"
She added mischievously, her tails swaying in playful amusement as she delighted in provoking him.
"…The passage of time doesn't affect me… but it might start to if you keep up with your little jokes,"
Aiden replied, flashing a smile so "kind" it was downright unsettling.
"Nyahaha~, then tell me, what would happen if you became even more senile than you already are, nya? Would your dear girlfriends have to take you to a nursing home and feed you by hand~?"
Kuroka teased with a playful giggle, enjoying every second of it.
"K-Kuroka, please, stop… This isn't going to end well for you… it never does."
Le Fay sighed in concern, shooting her friend a warning look as she noticed the dangerous smile forming on Aiden's face.
"Yeah, listen to Le Fay… or you'll regret it later," Aiden warned, regaining his composure with the absolute serenity of the excellent person he was.
His tone was so relaxed that it was even more unsettling, as if he had already decided exactly how he would make Kuroka pay for her jokes.
"Alright, alright, this lovely young lady will listen to the wise old man, nya~. They say you should respect and follow the advice of your elders, after all. Don't worry, old man, I won't bother you anymore… I'd feel awful if you suddenly had a heart attack from the stress, nya~," Kuroka said with a cheeky laugh, looking at him with a mocking smile while her tails swayed back and forth with mischievous amusement.
"…"
Aiden closed his eyes for a moment and wondered why the hell it bothered him so much when this lewd cat got on his nerves.
After all, he was a calm and rational person… right?
But… if she kept teasing him… didn't that mean he could also play a little trick on her?
A small, barely perceptible smile appeared on his face.
Without saying a word, Aiden simply raised his hand and pointed a finger at Kuroka.
"W-What, nyaa? What are you doing…?"
The mockery in Kuroka's voice vanished in an instant when she saw the glint in Aiden's eyes.
"You're really going to punish me? That's not fair! I don't stand a chance, nyaaa~!"
She tried to take a step back, but at that very moment, her tail bristled, and a chill ran down her spine.
"Relax, it won't be anything too serious," Aiden replied with an almost eerie calm.
Kuroka wanted to run, but suddenly, her body was lifted into the air.
"Nyaa?! What the hell is this? I can't move!"
She struggled desperately, flailing her arms and legs uselessly, floating slowly toward Aiden as if an invisible force was pulling her in.
Meanwhile, Aiden lounged comfortably on the couch, showing not the slightest hint of haste or effort.
"See… I warned you, Kuroka," Le Fay sighed, bringing a hand to her forehead in resignation.
"You always have a talent for getting into trouble."
Arthur shook his head, letting out a faint smile of resignation.
Bikou and Vali simply nodded without saying a word, though both seemed to be silently enjoying the show.
"Vali, do something, nyaa! Bikou, don't just sit there! Didn't you come here to fight or train with Aiden? Move already, damn it, nyaaa~!"
Kuroka shouted, kicking in the air in desperation as she was pulled closer and closer to Aiden.
"No way. This is way too good to miss," Bikou said, crossing his arms in an X with an amused grin.
"My instincts tell me that if I get involved now, I'll regret it… so, suffer a little, Kuroka."
Vali shrugged indifferently.
"Nyaaahhh! This isn't good, nyaaa~!"
Kuroka panicked, struggling in vain to free herself from the invisible force holding her.
"Seriously, so much drama…? It's not like I'm going to spank you or anything," Aiden commented with a sigh, looking at her with an incredulous expression.
Without further ado, the magic holding her gently dropped her onto his lap, making her land directly on his thighs.
The impact was light, but the gesture itself was enough to make Le Fay blush instantly, surprised by the scene, while the others looked visibly uncomfortable.
However, Aiden didn't care in the slightest about their reactions.
He simply scratched his chin, thoughtful.
"N-Nyaa! You just want to take advantage of this adorable and vulnerable cat, you perverted old man!" Kuroka exclaimed, completely scandalized, though her tone carried a playful undertone.
"Eh… don't lump me in with perverts. Trust me, I have no need to take advantage of you," Aiden replied with absolute indifference, as if the accusation wasn't even worth taking seriously.
"Nyaa~ I know that, damn it! If you have a harem full of beautiful women, obviously you wouldn't be interested in taking advantage of me!" Kuroka exclaimed, frustrated and pouting slightly at being ignored.
"A harem, huh?!"
Bikou's eyes widened, his expression shifting from surprise to pure envy in a matter of seconds.
"Bikou…"
Arthur and Vali stared at him in disbelief, unsure of what to say about his exaggerated reaction.
…
"What do you plan to do with me… nyaa~?"
Kuroka tried to act cute, discreetly moving her rear over Aiden's thighs in an attempt to provoke him.
"K-Kuroka! He's already married, you shouldn't do things like that!"
Le Fay exclaimed in a nervous and embarrassed tone, her face completely red as she waved her hands in a desperate attempt to stop the scene.
Her eyes reflected a mix of panic and embarrassment, as if just witnessing this was too much for her.
Kuroka only laughed at her reaction.
"Hmm… what should I do with you…?"
Aiden whispered in her ear, his voice soft but carrying a hint of mystery that sent a slight shiver down Kuroka's spine.
Suddenly, a brilliant idea crossed his mind, and his lips curved into an almost malicious smile.
Without wasting time, he touched Kuroka, and in an instant, her body began to glow with an ethereal light.
Kuroka blinked, feeling a strange tingling sensation run through her skin, as if something inside her was being irreversibly altered.
"N-Nyaa?! W-Wait, that's not—!"
Before she could finish her protest, her body suddenly shrank.
Her limbs shortened, and her elegant feminine silhouette vanished in mere seconds.
In her place, there was now an adorable black cat with a single tail, its golden eyes shining with surprise and confusion.
Her two tails had fused without a trace, turning her into a completely normal cat.
She tried to return to her human form… but nothing.
She could only look at Aiden in frustration, her pupils dilated with indignation.
"Nyaa~" she tried to speak, but the only sounds that came out of her mouth were adorable meows.
"Nyaa~ nyaa~!"
She glared at him furiously, wagging her tail in exasperation, trying to express all the frustration she felt at that moment.
Aiden had turned her into a normal cat using the power of [Haniel], whose special ability was transmutation.
"Eh? That was the big punishment? Pfft, what a disappointment."
Bikou crossed his arms with a sigh, clearly bored.
He had expected something much more chaotic and entertaining.
"Well, this is just the beginning. It might seem boring to you… but for her, it's going to be a real hassle."
Aiden smirked mischievously, holding Kuroka with one hand as if she weighed nothing, lifting her into the air while staring into her eyes.
"No way…"
Le Fay, knowing Aiden's family all too well, felt a shiver run down her spine as she realized what was about to happen.
She looked at Kuroka, who couldn't speak or do anything other than meow helplessly.
And in this house… there was a certain woman with an unhealthy obsession with cats.
Considering Kuroka hated being treated like a mere pet… this was going to be hell for her.
Aiden, with a bright smile full of amusement, opened a portal directly to Kurumi's room, where she was resting.
Without a second thought, he tossed Kuroka like a ball, making sure she landed right on the lap of the right person.
Aiden closed the portal calmly, ignoring the desperate meows of protest from the now-imprisoned cat.
Shortly after, an excited scream echoed through the house:
"Oh my, what an adorable little kitty~! Thank you so much for this lovely gift, my dear husband~!"
Kurumi's voice was brimming with delight as she hugged the small feline with a playful smile, rubbing her cheek against the soft black fur with evident excitement.
"Nyaa!!"
Kuroka's desperate meows were also heard, conveying her absolute distress as she tried to escape from Kurumi's loving prison… in vain.
"…"
Aiden smiled in satisfaction, as if he had accomplished something great… and then, they simply forgot about Kuroka and continued their conversation as if nothing had happened.
…
— Dimensional Gap.
Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
Training Field —
"This is incredible…" Le Fay whispered, her eyes shining with awe as she took in the grandeur of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
"I never imagined something so magnificent could exist in the Dimensional Gap…" she added excitedly, walking alongside Natsumi, who was also there.
Aiden had brought the group to his Hanging Gardens of Babylon because Vali and Bikou wanted to train.
He didn't mind showing them his secret base since they couldn't do anything with that information anyway.
They weren't even capable of determining where in the Dimensional Gap it was located.
Besides, he hadn't taken them to his lab or anything truly important, just the training field.
He trusted these brats, after all.
He wanted to consider them his friends.
Not that he had many male friends aside from Touya and Ende…
Most of the acquaintances he made in Elicia were buried underground, so he decided to place his trust in them.
Anyway, he wasn't showing them his biggest secrets, so there was no problem.
"Aiden built it a few months ago, you know?" Natsumi commented casually before turning her gaze to Le Fay, who was exploring the place with evident curiosity. "By the way, how's the development of your magic formula going?"
Arthur, who was standing beside her, was also looking at the training field, where Aiden, Kaguya, Tohka, Vali, and Bikou were already getting ready.
Kaguya and Tohka had also come along simply because they were bored.
"It's progressing, but very slowly…" Le Fay sighed, crossing her arms with a thoughtful expression. "I still have a lot to study."
She was trying to develop a magic formula at Natsumi and Aiden's suggestion, but the process was anything but easy.
It was practically like creating a new type of magic (not exactly, but almost), so obviously, it wouldn't be quick.
"Well, it was obvious it wouldn't be quick." Natsumi waved a hand indifferently before flashing a slight smile. "Don't worry too much, the important thing is that you do it your way… But if you want, I can give you some suggestions. Nia and I helped Aiden create the [Kabbalistic Formula], so we have some experience. Ah, I could also lend you a bunch of books that might help you."
The two continued chatting while Arthur kept watching the training field with interest.
