Chapter 36:

You don't need to battle for Max. I am not under your control. I responded sharply. My face frowned.

Simply go away and leave us. Max remained still in silence for a moment.

He stared at me, later he entered his car and drove off without saying anything again.

Ale and I remain silent at the moment.

We need to leave this place, Alex. I said as my thoughts remained unrest. My stomach twisted as I couldn't help myself with mixed feelings.

The soft crackling of the fire was the only sound in the room as I reclined on the couch, watching the flames.

The heat was meant to be soothing, yet my thoughts were uneasy to control.

I had spent two days at the cabin with Alex, and although the views were stunning and the tranquility allowed me to relax, my mind was still not any clearer.

I sip a hot coffee that Alex prepared for me, on my arrival, its sweetness enveloping my tongue, yet it still provided little solace.
