"Normal"

"Okay. Let's go in".

Lily opened the luxurious door and Joy's heart stopped for a second.

It was so beautifully breathtaking. She couldn't get used to the sight.

"I still can't believe that this is a school. Its a royal academy..."

"Its more like it"

Yes, it was almost like royal academy, only that only few royalties or maybe there wasn't but the way the school was built and designed really gave it that signature look.

Lily honestly liked Joy's reaction. She wished she looked as pretty as Joy but didn't stress it.

Joy's eyes caught the figure at the last row and last seat looking at her. The guy see saw outside was in that class too? She screamed inside her head.

"This seat is always empty and it's close to mine, so I advise you to take this seat" Lily drew a a chair for Joy but was surprised to see that Joy was rooted to one spot.

"Joy?" She called and it startled Joy.

"Yes?" She followed Joy's line of sight and saw Ryan sitting there but wasn't even looking back at Joy.

"What is wrong with you?" Yes, what was wrong with Joy?

"Nothing. I'm sorry" Joy felt embarrassed.

Her eyes finally left the man and she went and sat on the seat Lily gave her.

"Everyone will start coming soon" Lily sat too.

"We'll be close to each other like this, tell me when you need anything or ask me questions, okay?" She turned and looked like she remembered something the turned to Joy again.

"I don't want you to think I'm putting you under pressure or forcing you to do what you don't want to. You can always tell me to stop" Lily didn't want Joy to feel uncomfortable and Joy nodded her head with a smile.

"We can't possibly be the only ones in the school, right?" Joy was the one who asked.

"No. They are many other people, it's just that they prefer to be in their private dwelling places before they come to class, some never come" Lily explained to Joy.

"Oh..." Joy slowly nodded her head as she understood now.

She turned to look at Ryan.

"What about him?" She whispered.

"He's different..." That was the only thing Lily whispered back. Indeed, Ryan was different.

Ryan could hear what they were saying but acted like he didn't. He just stood up and walked out of the class without saying anything. Well, he had nothing to say.

For another moment, Joy thought something was wrong with Ryan but she didn't want to let curiosity finish her so she decided to bring out her books and do a little bit of studying before everyone comes.

Some girls opened the door and walked into the classroom. As soon as they saw Joy, they couldn't stop themselves from going to her.

"Hello, new student"

"Hi" Joy was nervous again.

"You look pretty" the other one looked like she was scanning every part of Joy's body.

Joy could only chuckle, she knew she was very good looking.

"I'm Sally and this is Anna. Let's get along" Joy nodded her head and they smiled before they walked to her seats.

Slowly everyone started coming in and some of them couldn't deny the fact that Joy was indeed very gorgeous. Some even went to talk to her. She had never got that kind of attention before.

Khloe and Klara couldn't keep their mouth shut as soon as they saw the girl sitting quietly.

"Holy cow!!!' Khloe screamed and she startled everyone including Joy and Lily.

"What a beauty!" She ran straight to Joy and started touching her and it made her feel uncomfortable.

Lily got the message and instantly stopped the two girls.

"Both of you stop it. Can't you see that she doesn't like what you're doing?" The girls stopped and looked at Lily.

"She didn't say she doesn't like it"

"Oh I don't. I don't like it at all" Joy honestly said and Khloe looked at Joy with a bad facial expression but Joy of course could do better. She looked back at Khloe giving her shivers down her spine. Khloe smirked and walked to her seat. She felt defeated.

"Good job" Lily and Joy gave each other a high five and turned back to their books.

Ms Jenkins knew that Joy had already arrived and wanted to formally introduce her to the class. She was walking to the class when she saw Ryan outside kicking a small stone looking lost.

She walked up to him.

"Hey Ryan" Ryan turned to look at Ms Jenkins. Ms Jenkins was one of the few people Ryan respected and Ms Jenkins knew what was going on in his life but didn't want to interfere, she only wanted this young man to be happy again.

"Is something wrong?" She looked at his face.

"I just feel uneasy, that's all" he really did.

"Sigh... Don't think too much son, be happy like the others. Okay?'

"Can I be?" He whispered rather to himself.

Ms Jenkins knew it wasn't easy for Ryan to be happy especially now that he was already 18. She didn't know what else to say.

"You can. Let's go inside, I wanna introduce someone to all of you " Ryan nodded and walked behind her. He knew who she wanted to introduce to the class and for some reason, he didn't want to miss that.

The bell was heard and all the students composed themselves because they knew a teacher would come in any moment.

Ms Jenkins walked in with Ryan and he walked to his seat. He peeked at Joy who seemed really happy to see Ms Jenkins.

Why is she always so happy? He asked inwardly.

"Good morning Ms Jenkins" all in unison.

"Good morning y'all. I'll make this quick" she stood at the front of the class.

"As you all know, we have a new student here with us"

"Yes, she pretty" one of the guys spoke this time.

"Oh yes she is. Treat her well okay? Take care if her, she's the second youngest in the class since she and Lily both have the same birthdays" she didn't want anything bad to happen to Joy. She didn't want it.

"Is she your daughter?"

"The both you have the same eyes"

Ms Jenkins chuckled. "Y'all are my children, okay? I also want all of you to take good care of yourselves. I love y'all "

"I love you too Ms Jenkins " many of them screamed and she laughed before walking out. She was considered the best amongst the other teachers and heads. Almost all the kids adored her.

Some even had a crush on her....
