Kevin's coming back...

"i dont know what to do about your new recent behavior" Chad was obviously frustrated. He's trying to talk to Ryan for the past days but Ryan obviously didn't want to talk about it and thats what worried Chad more because they were best friends and Ryan never hid anything from him.

"I'm fine. I'm just growing." Ryan felt oddly good today. Even he was surprised. He didn't hurt his head that bad, no bruise. That was enough for him.

"I'm starting to worry" Chad took a sit beside him on the bed and look at Ryan like he was inspecting him " you do look different today, though." Ryan gave him a small smile and headed out.

"So early as always" Chad murmured as he watched Ryan leave. He was used to Ryan being a punctual person. He's been like that forever.

"Young master, how's your head?" The driver looked at Ryan who sat quietly in the car.

"Fine. I don't feel any pain...." Lies, all lies.

Actually, his head hurt. He didn't take any medicine nor did the use ice pack.

He felt like the pain he was in was more, more than his hurt head.

He made up his mind to not be so aggressive to himself and grumpy and harsh to others. But could he?

He car stopped in front of the school and he quickly made his way to the school garden.

His favorite place in the school was the garden, since he planted the flowers and cared for them.

Was he surprised? Yes.

And was he surprised? No.

Joy was a new pain in his butt.

What was she doing there?

Instead of him keeping a straight face as usual, he wore a sweet smile before he even realized.

"Young lady..." He called. He didn't know why her name did not sound right coming from him.

Joy, startled, turned to look at that human who dared to disrupt her moment of silence with are flower besties.

" What are you doing here?" Asked Ryan who stood three feets away from her.

"It's weird.." Joy stood frozen like she saw a ghost or something better.

Ryan looked at her, confused.

What was weird?

" Are you smiling or am I imagining things?" She blinked several times but it was real.

Ryan realized the smile on his face and quickly took it away and straightened his posture.

"Ahem..." He faked cough.

"I asked you a question" he reminded.

"What?" Joy was stepping on it again.

"You've gotta be kidding me" he shook his head and turned to walk away.

Joy looked like she remembered something and immediately ran after him.

"Um..Ryan, how's your...head?" Ryan halted.

Joy stopped too almost bumping into him.

"My head?" Ryan smiled mischievously before turning to face her.

"Im suffering because of you. You know, the ball was meant for you" that was the longest statement Joy had ever heard from Ryan

But Ryan was right. She dodge the ball and it hit Ryan. She felt like she should take responsibility for what happened. She's honestly been worried since the previous day. She felt bad. For an unknown reason, she didn't want Ryan to get hurt....

"I know. What can I do?" She asked almost whispering.

Ryan felt something in his chest and immediately pushed it aside..

Cute shortie.

Wait!!!!

What?!!

Ryan couldn't believe what he was thinking.

Cute what?.

"Just stay away from me" the words didn't feel right.

Joy looked up at him, not surprised though.

"I could I poss..."

"Okay. If you wanna help so bad... I'll tell you when I know what to ask for" Ryan cut in. His previous sentence didn't feel right to him at all.

" For now.." he took off his bag " carry this" he threw the bag at her and walked away. His smile came back. Wider this time.

Let's play for a while

He thought as he walked away leaving Joy standing on the same spot, unmoving. Still trying to understand what just happened.

That little...

She hissed and ran along.

************************************

Joy's first test since she started attending the school will start next week. She was excited and nervous. But she was lost in another world of thoughts of a certain young man...

"You've been acting strange since morning" Lily had had enough. She'd noticed how Joy was lost in her thoughts for hours.

And wanted to ask why she had Ryan's bag in the morning.

The cafeteria was as busy as ever. The line was long, very long. Even as long as the line was, these two creatures walked straight to the main chef and were served.

No one had the guts to complain.

Ryan walked back towards Joy....

"Lady, come here" he ordered.

Joy felt like she was hypnotized by him and went to Ryan who was standing few feets away.

"Sit with me"

Gasps and whoas was heard loud and clear.

"Why?" Joy didn't know what to say to thus obvious trouble maker.

"Oh. I actually came thought of what I want to you to do since you wanted to take responsibility for this" he pointed at his head.

" And what would that be?" Eager to hear. Everyone fell silent like they were waiting for the final verdict.

Tick tock, tick tock...

"You'll be my servant and bodyguard "

"What?!" Joy shouted loudly.

"Servant and bodyguard? Oh, you've got to be joking " she was waiting for Ryan to say something but instead she got.." your job starts now" he walked to his table. Smiling.

He was really having fun.

Joy was stunned. She wanted to do something for him. But not this kind of something.

She felt like she was going to throw up, the way everyone looked at her....

She turned to look at Lily who was looking back at her with questions in her eyes.

Ryan turned to look at the 'lady' who didn't move an inch from that spot.

"Are you coming or not?" Joy woke up from shock before she nodded her head to Lily and walked to Ryan who was already sitting with with Chad who look at Ryan just as surprised as the others.

The spell finally broke when a student ran into the cafeteria.

"Kevin's coming back"

Everyone was frozen. More shocked than before.

" He posted it on IG just now" he finished.

"Kevin!!" Girls screamed in unison smiling from ear to ear.

"Wow.." was the only thing said before he dug in.

Ryan maintained his mutual expression.

Kevin's coming back... What does the future hold now? The duo will finally be together again after two years.
