Uncomfortable Flashback

Tim closed his eyes and revisited the memory containing the event of the test in which he was burned by dark mana energy.

It was a week after his 12th birthday. He had failed to awaken his mana energy and the top council in the organization did not like the outcome of his awakening test.

Tim was in the midst of the council members apart from their leader.

"How can he not awaken? Is that even possible? The boy is almost a living zombie, he almost can't die, yet he failed to awaken. I find it hard to believe." Aks 2 said, with a frustrated expression on his face

"It can be that he is a late bloomer. Who knows, he can awaken at any time." Aks 1 said, trying to ease the frustration visibly showing on the council members face.

Tim just kept quiet and put his head down. He was used to how he was treated as a test subject. Sometimes his entire day would be filled with unnecessary tests run mostly by the Council members.
