The Hatching

I watched over Nya for the next few days as well as my eggs. The eggs themselves were almost constantly in motion, Mother told me this was a sign that they were nearly ready to break out.

Twice I had to rescue them because they rolled straight out of the nest. Mother and I ended up building up blankets as barriers and after that they stayed inside.

Nya on the other hand seemed to dart around mostly watching the guard. She was too shy to say anything.

I could understand why she liked this Licnine. The new guard had long blonde hair that was almost more white. Even her stripes were different. Inside of a brown colour they were jet black.

She reminded me faintly of a snow leopard.

Finally, I grew tired of watching Nya spying on her and called her over.

The woman walked briskly towards me, her eyes flickering with concern.
