The battle roared on for what felt like a small eternity.
Finally the noise levels seemed to die down and I felt safe enough to try to climb out. When I got to the top I pushed up and found resistance. I tried harder but something heavy was keeping the lid to this hiding space in place.
"Mommy!?" Selen and Clay could both see my fear.
"Princess?" I heard Los call.
"We're here," I yelled and I motioned for the children to yell too, "We're here! We're here!"
I heard the footsteps of a Licnine entering the tent.
"Down here! We're trapped!" I yelled.
I could hear something heavy being dragged and then daylight rushed into the hiding space. Los peered down at me with intrigue.
"Who are these children?" He asked, he looked between Selen and Clay.
"Their mine," I said in a low warning tone, "Thank you for coming when you saw my signal."
