Chapter 5

Hax? Hax type? It is something I never heard of. I didn't even hear this type of move even in the games.

"Hax type?" I mutter under my breath.

"Yes. Hax type. It is a very special type of power you can say. Hax are cheat codes. They can't be explained in simple logic of human language, actually not even by Adaptae language because these are cheat codes. Basically miracles itself. Like you are Buddha or Jesus himself. These cheat codes are based on the domains that rule over the concept of life, death, time and space. These cheat codes bypass normal standard measures" Kalki gave me a new lore.

"What do you mean, friend? How do these powers work?" I asked with curiosity. 

"These powers work differently from other ones. Let me explain you with an example, let's say you are a dude with hax power and your opponent is 4th dimensional being who exist in higher plane of existence but with hax based on space power or anything, there is a chance that you bypass this dimensional gap and defeat that higher being" Kalki said with explanation. 

This is something. Basically, no matter how weak or trash you are but with this shit, you can shut down even the gods. 

I want to curse in my life not to get this power. How cool it is to have this power.

"How to counter them?" I asked him.

"The only way to counter hax is by hax. So, you need a hax that can counter that hax" Kalki said. 

"What happens if both hax hit each other? Like if I can accelerate time and my enemy can slow down time. What would be the result of those clashes of powers?" I asked him.

"Well, it would be fun to see that but from what I think is that, it will fall down to hands of who holds more stronger desire" 

"Desire?"

"Yes. Desire. Desire for what you want. Just imagine when clashing with your enemy hax, it all falls down to your willpower and determination to prove yourself to gain that desire. Your desire itself fuels the strength of hax" Kalki told me.

Kalki is dropping lore like a crazy mentor who keeps giving special life lesson advice to his students.

"Thanks" I give him my best wishes.

I watched how easily Aeralda is slaying those Bogeymen. Who gives a fuck to name group noun. Or was it a pronoun? Who gives a fuck!

I saw that Aeralda is grabbing that last creature in her hand and lifting it air by neck. Then she pushed her sword into that monster. Thus, this is the death of it.

She turned towards me.

"We are done," she told me.

"So?" I asked her.

"It is already night," she pointed out. 

I look upward. The sun is falling down.

"OH! Is there any place you got to stay there?" I asked her.

"Just follow me," she told me.

I follow her. 

She leads me to the small cottage where we see.

This cottage looks like some sort of creepy place. Just a pure trash place to live.

"We can rest here," she said.

I then look at my clothes as we enter the cottage.

"You ruined my clothes. You expect me to sleep here?" I questioned her.

I don't know how but she threw some clothes at me. 

"Where did you get those clothes? Did you steal? Or is it some sort of dynamite?!" I yell at her.

I don't know how she got those clothes. 

"Those clothes are my boyfriend's," she told me.

Boyfriend? I knew it! There is no way a beautiful and sexy girl can be left single unless or if she is really single then something is wrong in her. That's the truth of the girls.

"Your boyfriend?" I asked her.

"Yes," she said with a sad smile.

She had used a present word for her that means he is still alive and I don't think they got broken up because if she had broken up with her boyfriend then her clothes would be important to her. So, she wouldn't hand it over to me like anything. She is still with him.

"Anyway, back from the topic. I would like to ask you a question" I asked her.

The question is still with me.

"What's your Adaptae power?" I asked her.

"Why do you want to know?" she asked me.

"Because I need information on Adaptaes more!" I told her.

She looked at me with a childish expression. 

"Are you some sort of assassin?" She joked

"Nah! It just feels like that your power is amazing and wrong from my perspective" 

"What do you mean?" 

"I mean that. Your speed is the same as me if I am not wrong. You are not the fastest. You are just average like me. But somehow you are still able to crack my neck despite all the shits because you are able to get behind me which is a difficult thing from my perspective" I told her.

Her face is now showing interest and maybe I am able to impress her.

"Well, you are right. I am not fast" she said.

That's it! I knew it! My eyes observe it. This is why I can see that. 

"What's your power?" I asked.

"First of all, power or saying superpower is weird for me. So, I call them Reich. Because your powers are your realm and domain" 

This word looks like the best term. Short and can bring Austrian Painter in words.

"I call my Reich, Gott Schritt(God Step)—a power that allows me to bend space itself to make the distance less"

"Wait, so in a nutshell, you just teleport from one distance to another?" I asked her.

"No. It is more like to say that I don't teleport. You can say that I bypass the distance between you and me. You can say, it is counter to the Achilles and Tortoise paradox" she explained to me.

Wait. I understand it now. She is a hax type. She is basically bypassing the distance itself. But Kalki said that the only way to counter hax type by hax type. But hax only bypasses those powers that are related to one concept. Like no matter how fast you are, she will always catch up to you but in terms of strength, she can be one shot. That's it! We can defeat those shitty cheat bastards!!

I smirk.

"Why are you smiling like this?" She asked. 

"Nothing. Just amazed that I finally got a way to do a shit against anyone" I told her.

She is confused.
