Chapter 180: Nikke Assassins and an Unexpected Ally

At the very moment the Nikke was about to bring down her axe, Mo Chen's automatic evasion ability activated instantly. His figure blurred, leaving behind a fleeting afterimage as he swiftly moved to the Nikke's side.

Without hesitation, he raised his leg and delivered a powerful roundhouse kick straight to her body.

"Bang—!"

The Nikke was sent crashing into the wall and immediately lost consciousness.

From the dimly lit shadows, another figure suddenly lunged out, gripping a dagger that gleamed coldly under the faint light. The sharp edge sliced through the air, aiming to slit Mo Chen's throat from behind—only to be caught between his fingers.

Mo Chen smirked coldly.

He had long suspected these Nikkes were compromised.

The Nikke reacted quickly, instantly abandoning the gripped dagger. Instead of retreating, she pressed forward, slamming into his chest while her other hand, gripping another dagger, thrust toward his abdomen with lightning speed!

However, Mo Chen was faster.

His fist struck her stomach.

"Ugh—!"

The Nikke's delicate figure curled up violently, her eyes widening as she coughed up a mouthful of blood. Before she could react, he grabbed her wrist, yanked her closer, and drove his elbow straight into her chest.

"Crack—!"

Her previously well-shaped chest caved in from the impact.

Under the immense force, she was thrown into the air like a broken doll, crashing hard into the wall. The impact left deep cracks spreading out like a spiderweb.

At that moment, more Nikkes emerged from the shadows—at least three to five of them.

Unlike standard combat Nikkes equipped with firearms, these ones specialized in close-quarters combat, wielding melee weapons.

Their movements were swift, and their attacks were precise.

They even worked together seamlessly, surrounding Mo Chen and attacking from all directions.

In the dim lighting, the Nikkes appeared like ghostly reapers closing in for the kill.

But Mo Chen showed no fear.

His foot slammed against the ground as he surged forward, meeting the oncoming danger head-on. His speed outmatched the Nikkes, and in the blink of an eye, he had already appeared before the closest one. His arm sliced through the air like a blade, as if he were the reaper delivering a death sentence.

A chilling glint flashed.

The Nikke's body was instantly severed at the waist.

Her lower half continued running forward, while her upper half was sent spinning into the air.

One clean kill.

Without pausing for even a second, Mo Chen shifted his stance and reappeared beside another Nikke. His blade-like hand slashed across her torso, cutting her body diagonally from her shoulder.

More assassins emerged from the darkness—four or five of them—rushing toward him at terrifying speed.

These Nikkes were even faster than the previous ones, closing the distance in the blink of an eye. Their axes were already raised, ready to strike.

Mo Chen, already aware of their presence, simply glanced at the shifting shadows on the ground.

Just as he was about to counter, one of the assassins suddenly jerked backward as if struck by a powerful force. Her head snapped back violently, and a gaping hole appeared on her face.

Only then did the muffled gunshot echo from afar.

A sniper.

Mo Chen's eyes narrowed.

Who—?

Who was helping him?

"Bang! Bang! Bang—!"

Before he could think further, more gunshots rang out.

The Nikkes charging at him had their heads blown apart one after another. Their bodies collapsed lifelessly onto the floor, twitching a few times before going completely still.

Seeing this, Mo Chen was now certain.

Someone was aiding him.

At this moment, the Nikke assassins hadn't given up and continued charging toward Mo Chen, while some had already leaped out of the windows, heading in the direction from where the bullets had come—clearly aiming to eliminate the shooter.

The other Nikke assassins rushed at Mo Chen. As they sprinted, they pulled out green tubes and violently stabbed them into their own chests. Amid piercing screams, green light burst from their chests, and a surge of overwhelming power erupted from within, crackling like jumping lightning.

Their speed increased dramatically, to the point where their figures became blurs, like ghostly shadows. In the blink of an eye, they surrounded Mo Chen, seven daggers striking simultaneously, aiming for his vital points from all directions!

It was clear these Nikkes were specialized close-combat units, specifically designed for assassination. They might not fare well against Raptures, but when it came to targeted killings, they were exceptionally skilled.

Anyone else would've been dead the moment they stepped into this room.

But they were facing Mo Chen.

Just as the daggers were about to pierce his body, Mo Chen's figure flickered—vanishing from the middle of their coordinated attack. He reappeared behind one of the assassins.

Without hesitation, he struck. A swift, lethal stab pierced straight through the assassin's back, exiting from her chest.

Her body, soft as tofu before his strength, was impaled effortlessly.

She didn't even have time to react.

To him, their movements felt like they were happening in slow motion.

Another assassin, still mid-attack, hadn't even realized Mo Chen was no longer in front of her. She continued striking at empty air, oblivious to the fact that death was already standing right behind her.

The assassin's eyes widened in sudden terror as she finally sensed something wrong. She tried to retreat, but it was too late.

Her head spun into the air, severed cleanly from her body. As her consciousness faded, she caught a glimpse of her own headless corpse collapsing to the ground.

Compared to these so-called assassins, Mo Chen himself seemed more like the true killer—each move precise, every strike fatal.

"Whoosh! Whoosh!"

Flashes of cold steel danced through the dimly lit room like shadows in a nightmare. In the blink of an eye, silence returned, broken only by the distant echoes of gunfire.

"Bang! Bang!"
