Kilo sat on the ground, hands behind her propping her up, her eyes filled with terror like a frightened fawn, staring at Indivilia whose hands were soaked in blood, her entire body trembling uncontrollably.
"Crack!"
Indivilia exerted force and snapped a Nikke's body in two. Lifting it high like trash, she casually tossed it aside and raised her leg to stomp down, crushing the chest cavity.
Noticing Kilo's gaze, Indivilia turned around, her cold eyes locking onto the girl now collapsed on the floor.
Under that cruel and vicious stare, Kilo felt her mind go blank, unable to think of anything at all.
By the time she snapped out of it, she realized Indivilia was already gone.
She hadn't killed her.
Kilo collapsed to the floor completely.
Meanwhile, on the other side—
Mo Chen paused for a moment, then picked up a piece of tattered cloth from the ground and gently covered her body—at least to give her some modesty.
But that gesture, to Nihilister, felt like an insult.
"B-Bastard, you… damn Ark lapdog… don't think you can shame me…!"
With her half-healed hand, Nihilister tore at her clothing with a violent yank.
"Rip—!"
The two pale rabbits immediately sprang back into view. Supporting herself with one hand on the ground, she arched her body, twisting and struggling to get up.
The swaying only became more exaggerated.
"Kill me! If you've got the guts, kill me!"
But her limbs were already broken and deformed. Dragging her wrecked body, she couldn't stand at all. Even just propping herself up was barely possible. Still, her defiance in that state gave her an odd, twisted allure.
Just then—
Mo Chen suddenly felt a violent tremor beneath his feet. Not only that, a strange, eerie gust of wind howled past.
That wasn't wind—it was a shockwave from an explosion!
Something had gone wrong.
That was Mo Chen's first instinct.
"Alva particle concentration rising rapidly—level at 87.7%, 97.4%, 100%!"
An urgent alert rang out from the communicator, followed by Cecil's voice breaking through with static.
"Commander, watch out, your location… it's Ind—"
"Shhhhhhh—!"
Only a burst of static followed.
Signal lost.
The concentration had skyrocketed that much!?
Even Mo Chen was shocked.
A spike in Alva particles usually meant Raptures were appearing—no, it meant a Heretic was coming!
Suddenly, there was movement behind him.
Someone was there!
Mo Chen swiftly turned—only to see a figure standing not far away, just ten meters behind him.
It was Indivilia!
Why was it her!?
Mo Chen was completely stunned. He had specifically locked Indivilia up in the dungeon out of concern she might cause trouble.
He never expected she'd get out!
Nihilister noticed Indivilia too. Her eyes lit up and she got excited, calling out to her without the slightest courtesy.
"Hey! You! You finally decided to show up. What took you so damn long!? What, are you deaf or something? Get over here and help me!"
Indivilia walked up to Nihilister, standing tall and proud, looking down at her from above. Her icy gaze carried such disdain, as if she were looking at a piece of dead meat.
"How pitiful. So this is what a dragon looks like groveling in the dirt. Disgusting."
Nihilister was infuriated by her gaze and snapped back in anger.
"Hey! Are you blind!? Did you forget who got you out of that cell!?"
If her body weren't wrecked right now, she'd be up already and beating Indivilia into the ground.
But in Indivilia's blood-red eyes, a violent glint appeared. Without even bending down, she reached out with one hand and grabbed Nihilister by the neck like a ragdoll, lifting her off the ground.
"Ugly little lizard. There's nothing beautiful about you. Things without beauty don't deserve to exist. You can serve as nourishment for a cocoon's metamorphosis."
With that, her slender fingers tightened suddenly.
Nihilister's neck was nearly snapped. Her crimson eyes widened as she stared fiercely at Indivilia, her voice forced through gritted teeth, full of hatred and disbelief.
"You bitch, how dare you—!"
The stinger from Indivilia's lower back shot up and suddenly pierced straight through Nihilister's chest!
"Guh—!"
Nihilister's eyes shot open, a choking sound rising from her throat as her struggling body began to still, like her strength was being drained away.
Her energy was being absorbed by Indivilia in huge amounts—especially her core. The crimson glow within it was beginning to dim and fade, and Nihilister's eyes rolled back as her mangled arm hung limp and twitching.
Suddenly, a brilliant blade arc tore through the air like it could split mountains.
Mo Chen!
He held Ryūjin Jakka!
Clang—!
The sharp clash of metal echoed, sparks flying in every direction!
Mo Chen's gaze narrowed.
Indivilia had blocked Ryūjin Jakka's edge with one hand!
That blade could pierce through even Tyrant-class Raptures with ease.
Yet now, it was stopped.
A cruel, venomous grin spread across Indivilia's face. Her fingers, tipped with sharp nails, gripped Ryūjin Jakka and began tightening, causing the blade to creak ominously.
She was trying to crush it!
Mo Chen twisted his wrist and let go of the sword immediately. Using the momentum, he spun around, raised his hand—actually the chainsword in hand—and dove from the air with its engine roaring!
"Vrrrrrrrmmmm—!"
Her arm, harder than steel, was cut clean off!
Indivilia stared blankly at her severed arm.
Seizing the moment of distraction, Mo Chen yanked Nihilister away from her grasp and quickly retreated, pulling back out of Indivilia's attack range.
He set Nihilister down a good distance away.
It wasn't just about saving her—more importantly, Mo Chen had noticed Indivilia was absorbing Nihilister's energy.
He didn't know how she had gotten this strong, but if she kept feeding off Nihilister, she'd become even harder to handle.
"D-Damn it…"
Almost completely drained, Nihilister weakly rolled her eyes back. Her body was in tatters, but she still cursed under her breath, her hatred boiling over.
"That traitor… shameless bitch… I'm gonna kill her… kill…"
