Chapter 283: Can I Have Your Seminal fluid?

What?

Seminal fluid?!

If Mo Chen had only suspected he misheard earlier, now he was starting to wonder if his ears were broken to have picked up something this absurd.

Especially with how dead serious Cecil was when she said it.

"Wait," Mo Chen stared in disbelief, still trying to process what he'd heard. He hesitantly asked again, "Did you just say that again? Se—"

"Yes. Seminal fluid," Cecil said with a completely straight face. "It refers to the reproductive cells containing genetic material released by males during intercourse, at the peak of stimulation. In other words, commonly known as—"

"Okay, okay, stop!" Mo Chen immediately cut her off. "I get it. No need to finish that sentence."

Was this how people talked nowadays? So direct?

It was almost impossible to believe that those words had just come out of Cecil's mouth, someone so elegant and composed like a lily in bloom.

"There's no need to be embarrassed," she continued calmly, like she was discussing lab data and not one of the most awkward things possible. "Sexual behavior and reproduction are natural instincts of animals. Shame is merely a social construct, not a scientific barrier."

Her expression remained serene, without a trace of emotion. Those clear eyes were untouched by filth, like a minimalist ink painting.

"If you're uncomfortable, I can refer to it in another way—such as 'deoxyribonucleic acid.'"

"Okay, okay, enough!" Mo Chen cleared his throat, quickly cutting her off again. "I understand what you're saying. Let's not dwell on it."

But then a thought struck him.

"Wait, what exactly were you asking earlier?"

Unbothered, Cecil repeated her question word for word with the patience of a seasoned professor.

"I was asking: in the components of the antidote you developed, was your seminal fluid included?"

"Why would you even ask that?!"

"Because," she replied calmly, as if explaining a chemistry formula, "after experimental analysis, it was discovered that the antidote contains genetic material that matches your DNA."

Anticipating his next question, she added, "Don't worry. The DNA detected is not from regular somatic cells, it came specifically from reproductive cells."

Mo Chen was stunned.

"You're serious?"

"Yes," Cecil said, casually picking up a test tube from the rack and handing it to him. "If you don't believe me, we can collect a sample from you right now and compare it with the cells inside the antidote."

"Nope! That's not necessary!" Mo Chen quickly waved her off, recoiling from the offered test tube.

Since Cecil spoke with such confidence, she must be absolutely certain.

But Mo Chen was completely baffled. This whole situation was insane. Why the hell would that end up in the antidote?

It wasn't like he was the one who made it!

Wait a second…

A lightbulb went off in his mind.

Syuen. It was Syuen.

Back then, he had given the antidote material to Syuen for further research. Under her care, she had managed to create over a dozen vials of the antidote from just one bullet's worth of raw material.

As for the seminal fluid, Mo Chen suddenly recalled—right before handing the antidote to Syuen, he had... violated her.

Could it be that she...

This thought struck like lightning, cutting through the fog in Mo Chen's mind.

The logic suddenly closed in on itself.

In other words, during Syuen's research on the antidote, she had mixed his essence into it?

Mo Chen clenched his fists, veins bulging as he struggled to control his anger. His forehead throbbed with tension, teeth gritted so hard he nearly crushed them. He wanted nothing more than to drag Syuen over and beat her senseless—

Just what the hell was that woman thinking?!

Seeing Mo Chen's furious expression, Cecil didn't even need to ask to understand the situation.

"To verify my hypothesis, I'll need your cooperation. Rest assured, it's nothing too invasive. Just lend me your body for one hour starting now."

Mo Chen immediately refused.

"No."

"Please don't dismiss it so quickly," Cecil said, her voice calm and deep like a clear lake, utterly unembarrassed by the subject matter. "If it's shame holding you back, there's no need. This is simply a necessary step in human reproduction—everyone goes through it eventually."

"If my gender makes you uncomfortable, Johan can take over instead. That might alleviate some of the awkwardness—"

"Absolutely not!"

Mo Chen's refusal grew even firmer.

Cecil sighed regretfully.

"Since you don't want to, then let's just draw some blood."

"Draw blood?"

"Yes, although the content in the blood will be much lower, it can still produce a similar effect."

Mo Chen twitched his mouth.

"You're not doing this on purpose, are you?"

"Yes, because the reproductive cells in the semen have far more research value than ordinary cells."

"…"

"Have you changed your mind? I can guarantee, you definitely won't regret it."

"I refuse!!!"

Seeing Mo Chen's firm refusal, Cecil let out a long sigh, her eyes showing a subtle longing and regret, as if there were mountains of gold in front of her, but she could only watch and not touch them.

Mo Chen began to feel uneasy under Cecil's gaze.

"If you're not going to draw blood, then I'm leaving."

Cecil turned and walked toward the room inside the lab.

"Then please follow me."

That room was the most advanced biological laboratory in Eden, responsible for biological research.

Previously, it had been rarely used for research on the Nikkes, but now, it finally had a purpose.

...Not long after.

In the biological laboratory.

On the experiment table, several curved needles were scattered around. They were made of super strong alloys, yet still couldn't penetrate Mo Chen's skin. It was only when Mo Chen made a small incision himself that the blood collection was completed.

"Beep beep beep..."

After a round of analysis, Cecil lightly nodded in satisfaction as the data on the projection screen continued to update.

"...Mm, as expected. Just as I predicted."

Cecil turned around and looked at Mo Chen.

"Do you know your blood type?"

"I don't know."

Mo Chen remembered that he had tested it once when he was in school, but it had been so long that he had forgotten what it was.

Cecil asked again, "Was it recorded in the database?"

"No."

Since coming to this world, Mo Chen hadn't gone through any such tests.

"Do you know what blood type it is?"

He was a little curious about his own blood type.

Surprisingly, Cecil shrugged and said bluntly.

"I don't know."

Mo Chen: "…"

Then why did you act like you already knew?
