The man in front of them appeared young, almost like he was in his early twenties. He had a bit of facial hair, a coy smile which drew lines to the sides of his bright ruby coloured eyes. He wore a black suit, one of his horns was broken.
"You must be Lillith. It's a pleasure to finally meet you. Do you know how hard it is to get an audience with you? It's literally the most difficult thing ever. My sister wasn't even as big a pain in the ass" Samael said. While talking, he was offered a tray holding a glass of wine and a class. He poured himself a small quantity in the glass.
"Did you want some? It's called wine apparently. The rich humans love this stuff, I can't say they're wrong in doing so. It's amazing" He rambled gleefully.
Lillith and her subordinates stared at him, puzzled by his carefree behavior.
"He looks silly, but just what is this intense demonic aura? I feel so overwhelmed, I'm trying not to fall to my knees" Aiden muttered, gritting his teeth.
"Child, don't try to fight it. It's normal for you to feel that way, I am a man who should have been God anyways" Samael said, wiping the grin off his face.
"You've caused so much pain, so much death, how can you stand there and waltz around so carefree?!" Lillith yelled. She had lost every last bit of remaining composure she had.
"That's a simple question with an even simpler answer. I'm strong." Samael said, moving closer to Lillith. so close that she could feel his breath on her face.
"You're strong?! That's your reason for doing all the terrible things you've done?!" Lillith asked, her voice echoed. The others didn't dare speak, they were too dumbfounded by Samael's presence.
"I've lived a long time, dear Lillith. Actually, I transcend time. I believe only one thing. Would you like to know what that is, my dear? The strong can do whatever they want, the strong can take whatever they want just because we feel like. I shouldn't have to have a reason for anything I do. I do them for the sport" Samael explained.
"You're a fiend. The devil" Lillith whispered in his face.
"My my, that's a wonderful compliment, Lillith. You really do know how to flatter a man. There's something I'm curious about though." He said, grabbing her by the chin and staring deeply into her eyes.
"I hear rumors whenever you're described but it's my first time seeing them in person. Your eyes, they look just like mine. Who are you? Just who were your parents" Samael asked, wearing a curious look.
"I thought you knew it all. Shouldn't the strong know everything?" Lillith said in a mocking fashion, laughing in his face.
The others stared at Lillith in shock of her courage and amusement.
"You're right. This is a flaw" Samael said, wearing a confused look.
He let go of Lillith's chin and stroked his own.
"What to do, what to do" he paced the room. His eyes landed on Anissa, he shot her a menacing smile that made her shiver even more.
"Aha" he pounded his fist on his palm softly.
"For every question you fail to answer, I'll take a limb off that girl. By appearances she is the weakest link. This might just be entertaining for me" he turned back to Lillith with a smile.
"You're despicable" Lillith said.
"Why thank you" he bowed slightly.
"I don't know my parents— I never knew them. I was raised by the villages in a small village I found myself. I found me a mother and a father there, brothers and sisters, you took everything away from me for the fun of it!" Lillith raged.
"In my defense, I didn't know anything about your adorable little village family. My troops kill a lot of lesser demons. They like to have their fun too" his insincerity was followed by a brief laugh.
"I'll kill you. I swear on the lives of all the dead warriors who fought alongside me. I'll kill you!" Lilith screamed. He had pushed her to her limit.
She engulfed her body in flames and charged at Samael. She was quick but he brushed her aside with a finger. She was thrown against a wall which she broke into.
"I hate being useless like this. We have to help— the commander" Riya said. She winced in pain as she tried to get her hands up and steady. The rest followed suit.
"Stop it! don't go anywhere near him!" Lillith yelled.
"Why? didn't I say I would be your sword? We all made a promise, damnit" Aiden said, he bit into his lip so deep that it bled.
"No more. No more, no more" Lillith said as she walked out of the shattered wall.
"I shall not lose anyone else. I have nothing else left in this world, except the four of you. No more will I lose people to this fiend!" Lilith yelled, her eyes widened. She went in for another attack with twice the speed but Samael threw her aside once more.
"The magic you use, your pathetic origin story, the colour of your eyes, I didn't want to believe it before but it's so clear now. You weren't born here, were you?" Samael asked, his eyes looked threatening.
"You weren't even a demon. What were you? Human?" He asked.
"I don't have those memories. Even if I did, I wouldn't share them." Lillith said defiantly.
"You're a higher demon, just like me, but you aren't a fallen one. This is interesting. I shan't kill you, or your companions right away" Samael said.
"What do you plan on doing with us?" Lillith asked.
"Us? I'll execute them publicly. As for you darling, you'll be my bride" Samael proclaimed.
They all froze in shock. Ronnie who hid out of sight in fear of being seen put his hands over his mouth.
