Chapter 89: The Breaking Point

The world was coming apart. The battlefield kept shaking underneath Aveline's feet, cracks were seen dividing the ground as the weapon's energy vibrated through the air like a living force. Lightning was seen striking wildly across the sky with a thunderous sound, striking warriors at random, their screams were loudly heard during the chaos. Everywhere seems disorganized with warriors scared to their bones about the impending weapon they hadn't seen.

Cassian stood at the center of it all, he stood with lots of confidence and shone in storm scary glow. Untouched. Unshaken. Unmoved. He basked in the euphoria of the chaos and the shouting of the wolves. Beside him, Elder Thorne, whose body was filled with dark energy, watched Aveline with something between amusement and triumph. He looked at the battleground and felt some level of victory without lifting a finger but from the insecurity seen in wolves everywhere.
