Aron POV
"No, he can't lie to me. I don't think he will cheat me in this way." When I told Sara about Neil, she refused to believe me. In the absence of evidence, I can not make her believe in me. He played very shrewdly, using everything against me to put on a good face for her.
I'm considering disclosing his mafia ties and role in drug trafficking, but he's already shown her a video in which I threatened him. I will thus have to quietly observe his devious actions until I learn why he wants to marry Sara. He never loved Sara and also had an affair with that blonde woman, so I don't understand exactly what's going on here.
I have to first quiet my thoughts to think clearly since my mind gets confused. I excused myself and walked towards the garden. I had a lot of things to share with Sara, but she was eager to chat with Jerry and my mother, so I left them to talk to her and went around this enormous villa.
This villa cost billions, and now Sara Grace has also become a billionaire and is finally able to fulfill her dream of living a life like a billionaire. With a smile on my face, I turned to face the garden.
As I heard whispers coming from a room, my steps froze. I now understand the conspiracy they are planning against her. I must warn her before they trap her. I sprinted to her room to alert her, but they caught me before I got there. Neil struck my head with a vase and covered my mouth to prevent me from shouting. My eyes were filled with darkness, causing everything to appear blank before my eyes.
When I regained consciousness, I found myself tied to a chair in a storeroom. That room was filled with darkness; there was only a small hole through which sunlight came inside. However, the small amount of sunlight was insufficient to dispel the darkness in the room. The room surrounded me with dust, spider webs, and ancient, damaged furniture.
I attempted to free my hands, yet they clung so tightly to my body that I couldn't escape the chair. Excruciating head pain immobilized me as I attempted to smash the chair into the wall.
I have to go visit her. She needs me right now. I searched the area for anything that might help me cut the rope. Around me, I discovered an empty bottle. I moved to grab that bottle by sliding my chair, but I halted when I heard footsteps approaching. I slid back to my old place and closed my eyes so that they would return from here, considering me unconscious.
"Darling, you hit him with such force that he is still unconscious. I am afraid that he is dead." I couldn't see her clearly because my eyes were closed, but I could infer from her fragrance that she was Sara's stepsister.
"I don't care if he died." After checking my pulse, Neil gave the chair a violent kick. My head struck the wall once more. The intense pain made me scream, but I somehow managed to stay in my spot and control my scream.
"Hey, don't harm him; we have nothing to do with him." To stop him, she grabbed his hand.
"I need him to settle some previous accounts." I can sense his heated breath on my face. I was tempted to confront him with a punch, but this would have undermined my entire strategy. Consequently, I managed my anger.
"Neil, why are you wasting your time on him? Let's proceed; we have numerous preparations to make." She asked him to leave the room.
"You go, sweetheart; I'll join you later." He was seated in front of me on the floor.
"Do you know why I detest you so much, Aron Finge?" He grabbed my chin with a furious hand.
"You made me such an alluring offer that I couldn't refuse, even though I had been waiting five years to experience her heavenly beauty in the hopes that one day she would be mine. Her virginity belonged to me, and you stole it. When she told me that you had stolen her virginity, I wanted to kill you, but I had to control myself since I had other plans. Now, though, I can get revenge on you for having stolen her virginity before me." He kicked me in the stomach.
"Don't worry, I will taste her heavenly beauty for sure." He gave me three vicious stomach kicks and a menacing laugh before heading out of the room.
I winced in pain when he left the room. He is far more evil than I think. I never imagined he was constantly harboring such evil intentions for her.
Poor Sara thinks of him as her friend and is completely aware of his true intentions.
I've always felt that by taking advantage of her virginity and forcing her into marriage, I did her a tremendous injustice. However, I'm happy that my obsession with her has unintentionally shielded her from numerous demons. Before that scumbag pulls off his scheme, I need to get to Sara.
I picked up the empty bottle and shattered it. I severed the rope with a single, sharp piece of broken glass. It took me an hour of laborious work, but I managed to free myself. Two men were standing outside the door when I cautiously approached it. I can't go out the door. I need to come up with another plan to leave.
My eyes landed on the little opening through which light entered the space. I can't get out of that hole. I need to come up with another idea. I gather a few little objects from around the room and toss them out the tiny opening. The loud noise alerted both of the bodyguards.
I seized the chance to flee that room as they proceeded to investigate the cause of the noise. But by the time I got to the hall, it was too late. Neil pulled on his pistol and aimed it at Sara.
Sara didn't see that bullet coming in her direction. I didn't think of any other options to save her, so I pushed her and allowed that bullet to pierce my body.
