Family planning

Aron POV

"Aron, please check your phone network." She asked me to check my phone.

"Oh yes, I completely forgot about that." I retrieved my phone from my bag and checked the phone network.

"Now it functions."

"Please call Jerry and ask her to send some clothes for me." She asked me to call Jerry's phone number.

"However, it is now three in the morning." I looked at her with raised eyebrows.

"So what? We are in such a remote area with no phone network, so it's better to tell her now before the phone network disappears." She gestured for me to press the dial button.

"OK, my dear wife." I dialed Jerry's number on her behalf.

"What do you want? How could you call me at such an early hour? Where is your wife?" After calling, she became irate with me for interfering with her sleep.

"I apologize, Jerry. Sara asked you to send her some clothes because she was having problems with the bikinis you had selected." Her tone of anger made me laugh.

"You called me at such an early hour just to tell me this? What the hell? You were on your honeymoon, so I don't understand what she did with her clothes. I'm not expecting this from you, Aron. How could you perform worse than you did?" She scolded me.

I felt embarrassed when I saw the look on Sara's face. While I acknowledge that I had a relationship with Jerry in the past, Sara is now my wife, and having Jerry make remarks like these in front of her makes me feel very uncomfortable. Because the phone was on speaker, Sara's face flushed when she heard Jerry.

"Jerry, please send some clothes. Walking around in my bikini seems strange." She requested Jerry.

"Okay, fine, I will arrange the clothes for you soon, but please don't waste your time with me just yet. Your husband must be waiting for you. We are eagerly waiting to hear good news from you after you return from your honeymoon."

"What good news?" She inquired in confusion.

"The news of your pregnancy." I couldn't help but laugh at the expression on Sara's face. Sara's face went completely blank when she heard about the pregnancy.

"Aaron, I'm not ready to become pregnant just now." When the phone ended, she turned to face me, terrified.

"Me as well." To soothe her, I ran a hand over her hair.

"When do you want to be a father?" She lifted her head from my shoulder and looked at me.

"Whenever you're prepared." I met her gaze directly.

"You have your preferences, don't you?" She questioned me.

"Sara, you are aware of my background; thus, I am not as familiar with these kinds of familial lingo. I have no idea how a husband and wife interact. All I'm trying to do is learn from you and change to become a complete family man." I shared my thoughts about family planning.

"It's okay; things will gradually get better. I am aware of your circumstances." She put her hand on my shoulder and blinked her eyes to understand my point.

"Why do you not want a child right now?" I questioned her.

"I have a lot of things I want to accomplish in life, and I'm currently attempting to adapt to this new setting. You know Aron for me, too. Getting married to you hasn't been easy. I have my own life, objectives, and aspirations. I want to finish my education and become a businesswoman.

I also want to become a well-known author and podcaster. All of these goals will require focus and dedication, and I don't want to become a mother who doesn't give her child her whole attention, so I don't want to get pregnant right away." She gave a shoulder shrug.

"Whoa, that's incredible. Your ideas are apparent. You articulate your life goals so eloquently. I'm unsure what I'll do after leaving this place. Every day is the same dull routine for me—office meetings, conferences, everything. Sara, you've had many adventures in your life." I looked at her with admiration. Because of her clarity in life, I still get jealous of her occasionally.

"It's not that simple; you're fortunate to lead a well-organized life and manage a business, but I lack a set path to success. I have to work extremely hard to publish my one book, and I constantly need to come up with new story ideas. Several sites rejected my work, necessitating constant revisions.

I must continue recording my podcast regardless of whether anyone is listening. As a result, I find it challenging to consistently strive toward achieving my goals. There are lots of challenges." She let out a deep exhale.

"Tell me about the hardest thing you have to deal with when you have trouble writing." I interrogated her, aiming to gain a deeper understanding of her.

"Obviously, we must write the story from start to finish, especially if we're developing a character. You see, readers are what inspire writers, and when we don't receive views, we become unmotivated to create. Receiving negative feedback from readers weakens our trust in our story, leading to a loss of hope and motivation to write more."

"What, then, did you do at that moment? Have you stopped writing?"

"Unfortunately, we must write the story from start to finish, especially if we're developing a character."

"So even on your bad days when you're having trouble staying motivated, you continue to write."

"Humm." She nodded.

"That is truly fascinating. I'm applauding your willpower because, when I don't get my way, I lose patience easily." I have so much to learn from her. She is a real inspiration to me.

"What gender did you want for your child, Sara—a boy, or a girl?" I questioned her.

"I want a small version of you. I find you so adorable every time I see you. I'm sure your childhood was filled with adorable moments." She pulled my cheek.

"I wish I could spend my childhood with you." She let out a sigh.

"My dear wife, we were childhood sweethearts."

"What? Yes, I am your cheeky monkey." I told her about childhood love.

"Are you serious? Why didn't you inform me about this sooner?" She gave me a startled expression.

"I wanted you to discover the truth on your own, but you didn't recognize me, so I'm sharing the truth with you now."

"But how did you know this?" She questioned me.

"I visited your old residence and saw our childhood photo, which put an end to my suspicion that I had previously met you."

"Oh, it's truly incredible." She gave me a joyful hug.

"Sara, who was the man I saw in your birthday party album? Was he your Uncle Joe?" I asked her, remembering that I had wanted to ask her about that man.

Hearing my question, her face suddenly turned pale, and her body began to tremble.
