Chapter 69: Yae Miko's Request to Add a Little Girl Named "Ei" to the Story
The massive explosion earlier had left its mark on the Layered Rock Abyss. When several Millelith soldiers were clearing the scene, they reported hearing a sound resembling a dragon's roar emanating from the depths below. However, the sound was fleeting, vanishing almost as quickly as it came. Soon, the abyss returned to its eerie calm.

Afterward, Ganyu returned to her work with unwavering dedication. As the secretary of Liyue Qixing, she was perpetually inundated with tasks. From reviewing documents to attending meetings, her schedule was nothing short of overwhelming.
As for Amon, he was not particularly adept at handling bureaucratic matters. With nothing to contribute to her tasks, the two decided to part ways temporarily. Ganyu headed off to the Qixing headquarters, while Amon returned home to check on the two adorable little girls awaiting him.
When he arrived, the sight before him warmed his heart. Qiqi was diligently sweeping the floor, holding a birdcage in one hand. She seemed particularly protective of her little bird, perhaps worried that Yae Miko might decide to snack on it.
Meanwhile, Ningguang was busy cleaning the kitchen. Standing on tiptoes, she stretched to reach high places, doing her best to ensure every surface gleamed.
Hearing the sound of the door opening, both girls turned instinctively. Upon realizing it was Amon, their eyes sparkled with joy.
"Brother Amon, you're back!" Ningguang exclaimed excitedly.
"Welcome... home..." Qiqi echoed softly, her voice shy but equally happy.
Without hesitation, the two rushed toward him, their short legs carrying them as quickly as possible. They threw themselves into his arms, embracing him tightly.
Feeling the warmth of the two little ones, Amon couldn't help but smile. In that moment, he felt an unfamiliar yet heartwarming sensation—a glimpse of what it might feel like to be a father.
The thought of coming home to such affectionate greetings every day filled him with profound happiness.
Ningguang looked up at him with her innocent, baby-like voice. "When Brother Amon wasn't home, Ningguang missed you a little bit."
Qiqi blinked her big, round eyes, adding softly, "Qiqi... also missed you..."
Amon chuckled at their earnest expressions. "I'm sorry, Ningguang and Qiqi. I know staying at home must have been boring for you. How about I make it up to you? Tomorrow, we'll go fishing at the harbor. Does that sound good?"
At the mention of fishing, Ningguang's eyes lit up with excitement. She had seen people fishing before, but she had never tried it herself. Back when she used to sell goods, she often watched fishermen at work.
Though they frequently returned empty-handed, their enthusiasm never wavered. Her curiosity about the thrill of catching a fish was immense, but more importantly, this would be her first fishing trip with Amon, and the thought filled her with anticipation.
Qiqi, on the other hand, tilted her head in confusion. "What is... fishing?" she asked, her small face filled with puzzlement. Though the word seemed familiar, she couldn't quite remember what it meant.
At that moment, a charming and mature voice echoed through the room. "Perhaps I can offer some advice on fishing?"
Amon looked up to see Yae Miko standing nearby, still holding the novel he had written.
He raised an eyebrow. "Yae Miko, have you been reading that novel all day?" he asked, half-amused.
The fox-eared woman shrugged elegantly. "It's an excellent way to pass the time. Besides, I've picked up a few fishing tips from the fishermen in Inazuma. They might be helpful for your outing tomorrow."
Her gaze softened as she held up the book. "But, as part of our deal, I hope Mr. Amon will hurry up and write the Inazuma chapter of this story. I'm quite curious to see how it unfolds. Surely it will be as thrilling as the Liyue chapter?"
Amon couldn't help but chuckle at her praise. The main storyline of the game was indeed captivating, crafted meticulously by a talented writing team. "Of course, I'll begin the Inazuma chapter soon. I just need some time to gather my thoughts," he replied.
In truth, Amon didn't need to "think" at all. The Inazuma storyline was fresh in his memory. However, laziness often got the better of him. Writing more than 2,000 words a day felt like an insurmountable task.
Satisfied with his response, Yae Miko beamed. "Wonderful! Oh, and while you're at it, could you include a character based on me? Perhaps a beautiful and wise editor-in-chief of Yae Publishing House?" She paused, her eyes twinkling mischievously. "And one more thing—please add a little girl named 'Ei.' She should love tri-color dango and light novels. But if she can't have both at the same time, she might break down crying. Isn't that delightfully tragic?"
Amon couldn't suppress his laughter. While other deities' followers were preoccupied with defending their gods' majesty, Yae Miko seemed more interested in sharing embarrassing stories about Raiden Shogun. If Ei ever read this depiction, her cool and aloof image would surely crumble.
Feigning seriousness, Amon jotted down Yae Miko's requests in his notebook. "I'll see what I can do," he said with a grin.
Pleased, Yae Miko nodded. "As for my end of the deal, I'll share some fishing tips. First and foremost: bait. Good bait can make all the difference. Follow this recipe, and I guarantee you'll have a bountiful catch tomorrow." She quickly scribbled the instructions on a piece of paper, her handwriting neat despite being in Liyue script.
Stretching elegantly, Yae Miko bid them farewell. "Well, I'll leave you to it. Goodnight, Mr. Amon. Goodbye, little ones."
With the bait recipe in hand, Amon decided to purchase the materials immediately. Ningguang, familiar with Liyue's streets, eagerly offered to guide him. They soon bought the best-quality bait money could buy. Amon spared no expense—after all, he was confident he could earn it back effortlessly.
Next, they needed fishing rods for the little ones. Ningguang suggested visiting the village near Wangshu Inn, known for its handcrafted fishing rods. Intrigued, Amon agreed, and the three set out for the village.
Upon arrival, they witnessed a peculiar scene: a wild dog bolting away with a chicken skewer in its mouth, pursued by a small, scruffy girl. Though her clothes were tattered and her face smudged with dirt, her bright eyes gleamed with determination.
"Stop! That's mine!" she shouted, chasing the dog relentlessly.
Amon's eyes narrowed in recognition. The girl reminded him of someone—a certain figure from his past. Beidou.
