Ye Yun stood up and moved around casually. After using the 'Millennium Willow Heart,' he confirmed that his physical fitness had reached the peak of a high-level war god. Above that was the planetary level. His mental power had already reached the peak of a high-level war god as well, so without a breakthrough, there was no particularly significant increase.
The 'Spirit of Plants and Trees' was just a secondary goal. Ye Yun had come to the location of Mist Island for more than just the 'Spirit of Plants and Trees.'
Deep down, Ye Yun had expected this, so he was not particularly surprised by the improvement in his physical fitness. Instead, he could not forget the refreshing sensation he had just experienced after absorbing the core essence of the 'Millennium Willow Heart.' It was an experience that penetrated his soul and was truly unforgettable.
"Well, it seems this essence of the 'Thousand-Year Willow Heart' could be used as my regular drink in the future."
As Ye Yun was thinking about this, he suddenly noticed a flash of white light in the underground river not far away.
This place was already 3,000 meters underground, where it was pitch dark. Therefore, even a faint white light stood out to Ye Yun. He flew forward, using his mental power to probe the underground river. With a precise grab, he brought the object emitting white light to him.
Upon a quick inspection, Ye Yun saw that the object was crystal-like and not very large. When he got closer, a strong fragrance of rice filled the air. Just by seeing and sensing it, Ye Yun could feel the huge energy contained within it.
Ye Yun suppressed the joy and excitement in his heart, masking it with a puzzled expression. Seeing this, Ye Yun understood that the sudden appearance of Mu Yajing was a clear sign that Babata under the ground had begun to act.
With this realization, Ye Yun guarded his spirit, slightly resisting any potential mental influence from Babata. He stored the Mu Ya crystal and pretended to leave.
At that moment, Ye Yun saw a flash of white light again coming from the direction of the underground river. At the same time, a scent of rice filled the air once more. Ye Yun immediately rushed downward and discovered two more crystal-clear wood crystals.
With his actor-level skills, Ye Yun wore an ecstatic expression, as though he had discovered a huge treasure. Guided step by step by the Mu Yajing, he continued deeper underground.
As he progressed, Ye Yun's tension gradually mounted. A voice in his heart told him that the deeper he went, the more benefits he would reap. Having prepared for such mental influence, Ye Yun easily broke through it and realized that Babata's arrangements were underway, guiding him toward the underground ruins.
What Ye Yun found strange, however, was that despite descending about 10,000 meters, he had not yet encountered the fragment of the spaceship hull that Luo Feng found in the original novel. Without any clues to guide him, Ye Yun had no intention of searching aimlessly. Following the guidance of the Mu Ya crystal and his own instincts, he continued toward the underground location.
10,000 meters… 12,000 meters… 15,000 meters.
Ye Yun kept track of the distance in his mind, knowing that he was nearing the location of the spaceship. Finally, after knocking away a piece of broken rock and picking up another Mu Ya crystal, his mental power detected something distinctly different from the surrounding rocks and soil.
Without hesitation, Ye Yun exerted full force and opened a passage deep underground. He chose his direction deliberately, revealing a dusty door with a strange silver-white metallic luster at the end of the passage.
This 'door,' similar to the entry of an intelligent fighter jet, was half closed. Ye Yun released his mental power to investigate and immediately sensed a passage about twelve meters wide and eight meters deep inside. At the end of the passage, there was a spacious area that branched out to the left and right.
What caught Ye Yun's attention, though, was a pile of Mu Ya crystals on the ground inside the passage, all emitting a white glow and releasing a strong rice aroma, providing a sharp stimulation.
"Babata is really straightforward and crude, but people on Earth will definitely be unable to resist the temptation of the Mu Ya Crystal. With the psychological influence at play, they'll probably suspect nothing when they reach here."
Ye Yun quickly collected the Mu Ya crystals from the ground, counting roughly 30 pieces. Including the ones he had collected along the way, he had amassed over 270 pieces. Babata was quite generous.
The Black God suit unfolded, completely covering his body. Ye Yun walked slowly into the entrance passage and continued toward the end. He passed an eight-meter-long corpse, which was half leaning against the wall.
This huge corpse had dark skin, thick arms, and wore special dense-patterned armor. The most striking feature was its pair of scarlet eyes, still half-open.
As soon as Ye Yun's eyes met those eyes, a chill ran down his spine, as though he had encountered the most terrifying thing imaginable. His brain momentarily stopped processing thoughts.
"Is this the power of an immortal? He's been dead for tens of thousands of years, but his body remains immortal. The lingering power in his eyes could completely make me lose resistance. The pressure from his life level is terrifying!"
Ye Yun felt a cold sweat form on his back. He quickly looked away from the corpse's blood-red eyes. The oppressive sensation faded, and he gradually regained his composure.
After passing the eight-meter-long corpse, Ye Yun continued down the passage, encountering no further obstacles. Ignoring the other forks in the road, he proceeded along the widest passage.
About 300 meters later, the passage turned, revealing a tall gate.
Upon entering, Ye Yun found himself in a semicircular hall. The hall was vast, with ceilings dozens of meters high and a length and width of almost two hundred meters. There were six distinct corpses in the hall. Five of them were like the one at the entrance, having not decayed and maintaining their original state. The last corpse, however, was nothing but a golden skeleton; the rest had long since decayed.
Aside from the corpses, the hall was very empty. Suddenly, a "beep" sounded, and the dim hall lit up in an instant. Strange lights converged in the center, forming a black virtual figure. Upon closer inspection, Ye Yun saw it was a short figure, about 1.45 meters tall, with sharp horns on his forehead, bloodshot eyes, and wearing a black robe.
"Ye Yun, you're here."
The black-robed child looked up at Ye Yun, his face expressionless.
"Who are you? How do you know my name?"
Ye Yun asked, his tone cautious.
The black-robed figure responded in a whisper, "There is no wrong version in the 1619 book forum!"
"My name is Babata, but you can call me 'Devil Babata.' I am the battle partner of the master of Yunmo Star. Essentially, I am an intelligence, but I've long transcended that state. I can be considered an 'intelligent life form.' Like human life, animal life, and plant life, I am also a form of life in the universe. I experience joy, sorrow, anger, and happiness, and I can also practice and evolve."
After this brief introduction, Babata shifted the topic.
"Ye Yun, you must be confused right now, right?"
Ye Yun nodded slightly and asked, "Are you an alien?"
At this, Babata laughed loudly. After a while, he responded.
"Aliens? This entire Earth and the Milky Way are my master's territories. If it weren't for the battle 50,000 years ago, my master wouldn't have died, and I wouldn't be trapped here alone."
Babata went on, recounting the sadness of the loss of Huyanbo and his servants, his resentment toward the mechanical enemies, and the loneliness he'd endured for 50,000 years. Though Ye Yun had heard of intelligent life, this was his first encounter, and he found it utterly fascinating—Babata was no different from any other life form.
After some time, Babata spoke again, his tone more serious.
"Ye Yun, are you willing to join our Yunmo Star and become a member?"
"Um?" Ye Yun felt a little confused. He was the first human to reach the remains of the spaceship in 50,000 years, yet Babata's attitude was cold, very different from Luo Feng's encounter in the original story. Babata was now only asking him to join Yunmo Star, with no mention of meeting Huyanbo.
Babata's scarlet eyes swept over Ye Yun, and with a touch of regret in his voice, he said, "Ye Yun, you have cultivated to this level at such a young age. Your talent is exceptional, even among Earthlings. Unfortunately, your brain expansion is still too low. You haven't met the full requirements to be a disciple of Yunmo Star. However, given the current situation, I'll accept you as an elite disciple of Yunmo Star. You'll inherit a part of our legacy!"
"Brain expansion?"
Babata nodded and briefly explained the concept of brain expansion.
