Imagine one day you were just looking at your phone when boom?! you found yourself on the streets of a bustling town, now in this situation one would probably freak out, a normal reaction of a normal person.
"I got isekaid?!! Yaaaaaasssss?!" Ishi was not a normal person, the surrounding inhabitants looked at him strangely.
Ishi suddenly closed his mouth. "Ahem i apologize for my outburst"
He said, the people didn't understand his words, Suddenly a carriage that was going through that lane stopped, it opened and revealed a man wearing a crimson suit of armor.
The man in the crimson armor stepped out of the carriage, his presence commanding immediate attention. The surrounding crowd parted as if compelled by an invisible force. His armor glinted in the sunlight, intricate engravings of dragons and flames decorating its surface. A crimson cape flowed behind him, exuding an air of authority.
"What's going on here?" the armored man repeated, his voice deep and laced with authority. His piercing gaze scanned the scene before landing on Ishi, who was still frozen in mid-apology.
Ishi blinked, taking in the man's dramatic entrance. Oh man, this is exactly how it starts! The overpowered main character meets the intimidating noble or general. This is it. My time to shine.
He puffed out his chest, trying his best to look composed. "Greetings, noble warrior," he said, bowing with exaggerated flair. "I am but a humble traveler who has found himself… misplaced in your grand city."
The crowd murmured in confusion, clearly unable to understand Ishi's words. The armored man raised an eyebrow, unimpressed.
"You. Where are you from?" the man asked, switching to a language that Ishi somehow understood perfectly despite never hearing it before.
Ishi froze for a moment, processing the fact that he had magically gained the ability to understand a new language. Oh my god, language comprehension skill? Is this my cheat ability?!
He decided to play along. "I am from a distant land," Ishi replied cryptically, waving a hand as if to emphasize how very distant it was. "One you have likely never heard of."
The man in crimson armor didn't look amused. "Your strange attire and lack of common sense suggest as much," he said coldly. "You're causing a disturbance. State your purpose, or I'll assume you're a vagrant."
"Vagrant?!" Ishi exclaimed, offended. "I'll have you know I am a chosen hero!"
The crowd gasped, and Ishi felt a flicker of satisfaction. That got their attention!
The man's eyes narrowed. "A hero? Chosen by whom?"
Ishi hesitated. Crap, do I just say 'gods'? 'Ancient spirits'? Or do I wing it? He went with the first thing that came to mind.
"I was chosen by the gods"
The surroundings suddenly went quiet.
"Pftt"
Someone tried to suppress their laughter, and then the next second, Everyone started laughing.
"Hahahahahah, Gods you say" one townfolsk mocked with a loud laughter.
"The so called gods have long abandoned us" Ishi's confident grin faltered as the crowd erupted into laughter. The man in the crimson armor crossed his arms, a flicker of curiosity playing across his otherwise stern face.
"The gods… abandoned you?" Ishi asked, more to himself than anyone else. Wait, what? That's not how these stories are supposed to go. Aren't gods usually handing out blessings left and right?
A grizzled old man from the crowd stepped forward, his eyes weary and his voice rough. "You're either a fool or a liar, boy. The gods haven't been seen or heard from in over a century. If they ever cared about us to begin with, they sure don't anymore."
The crowd murmured their agreement, their laughter fading into a mix of bitterness and resignation. Ishi's mind raced. Okay, new world, no gods, people are jaded. Got it. So maybe I should dial back the 'chosen hero' thing… or double down?
The armored man cleared his throat, silencing the crowd. His eyes locked onto Ishi with a sharpness that felt like he was peering into his soul. "You claim to be chosen by gods long gone. A bold claim, and yet…" His gaze dropped to Ishi's hands, which still glowed faintly with a golden aura. "There is something strange about you."
Ishi glanced at his hands, startled. The glow was faint now, but it was unmistakably there. Okay, cool, definitely a cheat power. But what does it actually do?
The man in crimson stepped closer, his tone now softer but no less commanding. "Whether you are a liar or something more… extraordinary, we'll find out soon enough. Guards, bring him to the castle."
The guards stepped forward again, this time more cautiously, as if unsure what Ishi might do.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Ishi held up his hands, his mind scrambling for a way out of the situation—or at least to get more information. "You can't just drag me off without hearing me out! What if I am the hero you've been waiting for?"
The armored man raised an eyebrow. "The hero we've been waiting for? Do you even know what this kingdom faces? What this world has become?"
Ishi blinked, caught off guard. "Uh… monsters? Evil empires? Ancient curses?" He threw out random guesses, hoping one would stick.
The man's expression darkened. "Fool. This is no children's tale. Our world is dying. The Abyss spreads further every day, consuming land and life alike. The gods have abandoned us, and no 'hero' has risen in over a hundred years." His eyes burned with intensity. "If you think you can claim that title so easily, you'd better prove it."
Ishi swallowed hard. Okay, this guy is serious. Like, end-of-the-world serious. "Uh, right. I'll prove it. Just… maybe tell me how to do that?"
The man's lips curved into a faint, humorless smile. "Very well. If you're so eager to prove yourself, you'll face a trial. Refuse, and you'll be cast out—or worse."
"Trial?" Ishi squeaked. "What kind of trial?"
The man gestured toward his carriage. "Come. You'll find out soon enough."
The crowd parted again as the guards escorted Ishi toward the carriage. His heart pounded as he climbed inside, the man in crimson following close behind.
As the carriage doors closed and it began to move, Ishi glanced nervously at his companion. "So… uh, what do I call you?"
The man's crimson cape shifted as he leaned back, his gaze fixed on Ishi. "You may call me Commander Draven." He paused, his voice dropping. "And if you're lying about being chosen, you won't live to regret it."
Ishi gulped, his glowing hands trembling slightly. Okay, no pressure. Just gotta figure out how to survive this trial and prove I'm a hero. How hard can it be?
…
In a wide chasm, a boy who had a huge hole in his chest woke up, he was wearing modern clothes. "Ok didn't i jump off a building"
He asked confused by his peculiar situation, he then looked at a bloody stone spike and then unconsciously looked at his chest, there was a hole there and he could see his intestines.
Well somebody would be screaming but Adam no, he just blankly looked at it and asked. "Why am i not dying"
The wound then slowly started regenerating within seconds, the gaping hole in Adam's chest sealed itself, leaving behind nothing but clean, unbroken skin. He blinked in astonishment, running a hand over the spot where his injury had been.
"Okay, this is… new," he muttered, his voice echoing through the eerily silent chasm. He looked around, noticing the jagged rock walls towering over him and the faint glow of what appeared to be pulsating veins of energy running through the stone. "Is this… hell? Did I get reincarnated as a zombie or something?"
Adam stumbled to his feet, brushing dust off his torn clothes. He noticed his reflection in a nearby pool of black, viscous liquid. His modern outfit, now shredded, looked utterly out of place in this desolate, otherworldly setting. But what struck him most were his eyes—once a dull brown, now glowing faintly with a golden light.
"Okay," he said to himself, taking a deep breath. "Step one: figure out where I am. Step two: figure out why I'm not dead. Step three: figure out why I'm glowing."
As he took a step forward, a low growl echoed through the chasm, reverberating off the walls. Adam froze, his heart pounding. From the shadows, a creature emerged—its body a grotesque mass of sinewy muscles and jagged, obsidian-like spikes. Its eyes glowed red, locking onto Adam with predatory hunger.
Adam instinctively took a step back. "Okay, great. Of course, there's a monster. Why wouldn't there be a monster?"
The creature lunged without warning, its razor-sharp claws aiming straight for Adam. Time seemed to slow as adrenaline surged through his veins. Acting on instinct, he raised his hands in defense.
A golden light burst from his palms, slamming into the creature and sending it flying into the chasm wall. Adam stared at his hands, now crackling with energy.
"Wait… did I just do that?" he whispered, his voice trembling. He looked at the fallen creature, which twitched but began to rise again, snarling more ferociously.
The realization hit him like a truck. "Oh no. This is some kind of tutorial fight, isn't it?"
The monster charged again, and this time Adam felt a surge of confidence. "Alright, let's see what this cheat power can really do!"
He focused on the glowing energy in his hands, instinctively shaping it into a spear of light. With a shout, he hurled it at the monster, the projectile piercing through its chest. The creature let out a final, guttural roar before collapsing into a pile of ash.
Adam stood there, panting, his hands still glowing faintly. "Okay… that was kind of awesome," he admitted, a grin spreading across his face.
"Wait didn't i want to die though, sigh maybe i should have let it"
….
In a small cabin another boy with slightly dark skin and blue eyes appeared to be sitting there, in his hand was a small orb. " It's been a few days since i got here and this is the first thing i got when i killed a goblin, no one could see it except me though"
This was Xander an unfortunate boy who got transmigrated to this world the same way as the other bot in the town. "What a hassle"
He was actually on his way back home originally when, well a truck rammed into him now HE was a normal person, he freaked out and acting cried, he was scared when he killed his first monster feeling disgusted in himself and he was sick. "I hate it"
Suddenly the orb in his hand glowed, a strange sensation appeared in his mind and body, his muscles seemed to have gotten a bit bulkier and his eyes became sharper. "The hell is this?!"
Xander freaked out.
….
In a forest, a small horned lizard with a gold rings on both of its horns hatched out of an egg. 'Eh, wait is lizzy safe?!'
Ah yes another unnormal human, This is Rain, She died in a fire while successfully saving her lizard, the lizard ofcourse survived but it also stayed by her side until the very end, curled up near her lifeless body as the flames consumed them both. Or so she thought.
Now, Rain was staring at her own reflection in a small puddle of water, except… she wasn't herself anymore. A pair of tiny, glimmering horns adorned her head, and her body was covered in sleek, iridescent scales. Her forked tongue flicked out instinctively.
"Okay, this is weird," she thought, her voice echoing in her mind. She looked down at her clawed feet and tail, flexing them experimentally. "Am I… a dragon? No, wait. Too small for that. A lizard?!"
Rain skittered up a rock to get a better view of her surroundings, her movements unnervingly natural for her new form. The forest around her was dense, alive with sounds of unfamiliar creatures. Something rustled nearby, and her instincts screamed at her to hide. She darted behind a fallen log and peeked out cautiously.
From the shadows emerged a massive predator a wolf-like creature with fur that shimmered like moonlight and fangs as long as her new body. Its glowing eyes scanned the area, and Rain's heart or whatever passed for one in her reptilian body raced.
Okay, think, Rain. You're a tiny lizard. What's the plan?
The wolf sniffed the air, its head turning in her direction. Rain's mind whirled. She had to do something. Then, almost instinctively, she felt a strange warmth rise within her chest. Before she knew it, a small burst of fire erupted from her mouth, singeing the leaves in front of her.
The wolf froze, then let out a low growl, clearly annoyed but no longer approaching. Rain stared in awe at the scorch marks.
"Did I just… breathe fire?!" she thought, her shock quickly replaced by excitement. "Oh, heck yes. Maybe being a lizard isn't so bad after all!"
The wolf snarled again, snapping her out of her thoughts. "Right, gotta live first, celebrate later," she muttered mentally. She scrambled up the tree behind her, surprisingly agile, and watched as the wolf prowled below, sniffing around for a moment before slinking off into the shadows.
Once the danger passed, Rain exhaled or rather, hissed in relief. She perched on a sturdy branch, looking out over the vast, unfamiliar forest.
"Alright, so I'm in some weird lizard body in a crazy new world," she thought, her determination growing. "Step one: survive. Step two: figure out if Lizzy made it here too. Step three… maybe become a dragon or something cool."
With a flick of her tail and a fiery glint in her reptilian eyes, Rain scurried off into the forest, ready to face whatever challenges awaited her.
…
In a dark and fallen Ancient castle, two demonic orange eyes opened up as they lit up the surroundings, with the awakening of the being all the torches lit up and illuminated the entire place.
Taking a good look at the being, it was a woman with black horns, a big red eye on her forehead, two wings and a small tail flickering along the throne she was situated in. "huh, i thought i died when i suicide bombed that plane"
Yes, another peculiar person, Denjia is a girl obsessed with explosives in her old life no to she was obsessed with explosions of any kind and now she is reborn into the Ancient Demon Lord of Anarchy's body, you see the cotpse of a demon doesn't rot and this particular body had been preserved by sheer malevolence and dormant power. Denjia sat up, flexing her claws and examining her new form. Her blackened skin shimmered faintly with an unholy energy, and her wings stretched out instinctively, casting an ominous shadow over the crumbling castle hall.
"Wait… what is this?" she muttered, her voice deeper and reverberating with unnatural resonance. Her third eye, glowing with an eerie red light, shifted as if it had a mind of its own. "Am I… a demon lord?!"
Denjia's lips slowly curled into a manic grin. A demon lord? Her previous obsession with explosions was already being replaced by visions of chaos and destruction on an unimaginable scale. "Oh, this is way better than the boring old human world. I can work with this!"
As she stood, the sheer power coursing through her veins made the entire castle tremble. The ancient stone walls creaked and cracked, while the torches flickered violently. Denjia stretched her new limbs, marveling at the destructive energy radiating from her every motion.
She glanced down at her claws and then at the throne she'd been sitting on. "Step one: figure out how to blow something up with this body," she mused aloud, her wings flaring out as she took a tentative step forward.
Suddenly, a swarm of lesser demons materialized from the shadows, their grotesque forms kneeling in reverence before her. They chanted in unison, their voices guttural and filled with fear.
"Master, you have awakened at last!"
Denjia blinked, momentarily thrown off. Wait, I have minions?
One of the demons a hunched, slimy creature with glowing yellow eyes crawled closer. "We have awaited your return, great Anarchy. The Abyss threatens to consume all, and only your power can restore balance to the chaos."
Denjia tilted her head, her grin widening. "Balance? Oh no, no, no. I'm not here to fix chaos," she said, her voice dripping with glee. She leaned forward, her glowing third eye locking onto the trembling demon. "I'm here to make it a whole lot worse."
The demons exchanged nervous glances, unsure whether to be thrilled or terrified. Before they could respond, Denjia clapped her hands together, sending a shockwave that shattered the nearest pillars.
"Alright, minions! Show me the nearest kingdom. We've got some explosions to plan."
