Chapter 132: Three Punches

"Why… why is it you?"

"Why is it you?!"

"How could it possibly be you?!"

Staring at the face of Obito Uchiha—familiar yet unfamiliar—Kakashi Hatake couldn't stop himself from questioning aloud, his voice trembling with disbelief.

A single tear silently slid down his face.

"Obito!"

The anguished cry tore from Kakashi's throat, echoing out from beneath his mask.

Even though Tobirama Senju had previously revealed that Obito was still alive, Kakashi had refused to accept it.

But now, standing in this mysterious dimension, staring into the face of his old friend—gifted to him in the form of a Sharingan—it was a truth he could no longer deny.

And yet, even as he stood face to face with Obito, he could not suppress the surge of emotions overwhelming him.

How could this Obito—the pure-hearted boy who cherished his friends and aspired to be Hokage—be responsible for such horrors?

"Kakashi… I didn't expect you would be able to come here."

Obito shifted slightly, his deep, detached gaze locking with Kakashi's. His face was unreadable, devoid of any discernible emotion.

"I should've reclaimed my eye back then," he muttered.

"Obito! Why… why did you turn out this way?!"

Kakashi's eyes glistened with tears. At last, he asked the question that had burned in his heart ever since the masked man's identity had been revealed.

"Shut up, Kakashi!" Obito roared.

"You, who killed Rin, have no right to question my actions!

"This hellish, cruel shinobi world should have been reforged long ago!"

Clutching his chest, Obito let out a final, tortured scream:

"Look closely! My heart is already hollow! I feel no pain anymore! This void was carved by this accursed world!

"I have long since abandoned everything! The Infinite Tsukuyomi… surely you've heard of it from Tobirama Senju?

"Kakashi, haven't you suffered just as much as I have? Haven't you lived in agony—standing at Rin's grave, at mine?

"It's enough. You don't need to suffer anymore. In the illusionary world, you can have everything you ever wanted!

"Think of Rin, Minato-sensei, and your father—they're all there, waiting for you!

"Join me, Kakashi. Together, we can create that world.

"If it's you, you're qualified to help me."

Lowering his hands from his chest, Obito extended his invitation, his voice calm but resolute. Yet behind his back, a black rod silently materialized.

The cursed seal marks on his body pulsed faintly. Even within the isolated Kamui space, the aftereffects of his earlier fight were showing. Overusing Kamui had pushed his Sharingan to its limits.

Should Kakashi refuse his offer, the two would inevitably clash…

"Obito…" Kakashi lifted his head, his gaze sharpening.

"So this is your reason?"

"I'm sorry for what happened to Rin," he continued, his voice heavy with regret.

"But Rin is gone! Do you think this will fill the void in your heart?!

"The village Rin sacrificed herself to protect—

and you, you betrayed it!

"Do you think you've done right by Minato-sensei and Rin?!"

Lightning sparked in Kakashi's hand, crackling loudly as his Chidori flared to life.

Obito chuckled darkly, his voice hollow.

"I've told you already. In the illusionary world, they'll be reborn."

"Enough, Obito! That's just a world of your delusions!

You! Are beyond saving!!"

Kakashi's voice thundered, his heart unable to bear listening to the man before him anymore.

This Obito was no longer the boy he had known. This Obito had become a man who had abandoned everything—a sinner of the highest order.

If Kakashi couldn't change him, then all he could do was end him.

"Then come!" Obito snarled, his black rod raised and ready.

Without hesitation, Kakashi charged forward, his Chidori aimed straight at Obito's heart.

Their strikes targeted each other's hearts simultaneously.

But Obito smirked faintly, his Rinnegan rippling ominously.

In an instant, a powerful suction force devoured the chakra of Kakashi's Chidori. It vanished completely in the blink of an eye.

With the lightning gone, Kakashi's right hand was nothing more than a sharp-edged hand chop, lacking any killing power.

"Kakashi, wait for me in the illusionary world."

Obito's eyes narrowed, his movements cold and deliberate as his black rod stabbed directly toward Kakashi's heart.

Kakashi felt a phantom pain before the strike even landed, his eyes instinctively shutting.

"Maybe… dying by Obito's hand would allow me to explain myself to Rin in the Pure Land," a fleeting thought passed through his mind.

Time seemed to freeze in that instant.

But in the next—

"Argh!!"

Obito's body suddenly halted mid-charge as though slamming into an invisible iron wall. He was sent hurtling backward, crashing dozens of meters away.

Kakashi, feeling no pain, opened his eyes slowly. Standing before him was the calm, composed figure of Tobirama Senju.

"Kakashi," Tobirama said with a smirk, "if you died, who would I appoint as my ANBU Commander?"

The lighthearted remark broke the tension momentarily.

"Hokage-sama…" Kakashi murmured, his gaze lingering on Tobirama's back.

"TOBIRAMA!!"

Obito roared as he staggered to his feet, hatred blazing in his Rinnegan.

Yet beneath his hatred lay an undeniable wariness. He hadn't even seen when or how Tobirama had appeared.

"Uchiha Obito," Tobirama said, his gaze cold and penetrating.

The intensity in Tobirama's eyes was like a searing blade aimed to cut Obito down.

Moments earlier, Tobirama had used Kakashi's Sharingan to open a portal into the Kamui dimension. He'd found the unconscious Killer Bee there and learned of Obito's plot to capture the jinchūriki.

Wasting no time, he had sent Madara to corner Obito into the Kamui space while he and Kakashi lay in wait.

"You think you can escape?"

Seeing Obito's Sharingan activate, Tobirama's expression sharpened, his own eyes shifting to reveal the glowing Rinnegan.

"Rinnegan?!"

Panic flickered across Obito's face. He had no time to process his shock. Summoning Kamui's vortex around himself, he attempted to flee.

A ripple of blue light erupted, freezing Obito in place.

"This punch is for releasing the Nine-Tails on the village!"

Tobirama's fist slammed into Obito's chest with devastating force, eliciting a cry of pain.

"Wh-what…?" Obito coughed, struggling to recover.

Before he could, another blue ripple surged.

"This punch is for slaughtering your own clan!"

Tobirama's second punch crushed the White Zetsu half of Obito's body.

"Ahhh!!" Obito howled in agony as his artificial body began to tear apart.

"And this last punch…"

Tobirama's voice carried a deadly chill as his fist descended.

"…is for betraying your teacher and your clan!"

With unmatched ferocity, the punch buried Obito into the ground of the Kamui space, leaving no room for escape.
