Scarlett's heart thundered as the alarm lights painted the room in pulses of red. The words "Genesis Sequence Initiated" echoed in her mind, mingling with the panic coursing through her veins. She darted to the mainframe, fingers flying across the keyboard in a desperate attempt to regain control.
"We need a way out," Scarlett muttered, her voice edged with urgency.
Henry stood guard at the chamber entrance, his gaze scanning the shadowy corridors. "Scarlett, you have to move faster. We've got unwanted company, and I don't think they're here for tea."
Ellen leaned heavily against the console, her breathing shallow but her voice steady and firm. "Try the contingency override," she said, pointing to a faded label etched into the side of the mainframe.
Scarlett hesitated, her brow furrowing. "If this fails, we are going to be locked in for good." She said unsure whether to proceed or not.
