A Truth Too Heavy

The knock reverberated through the entire room, each thud slicing through the tense silence like a blade. Morrison's voice followed, cold and precise.

"Open the door now, West. Let's talk." She said her voice firm and commanding.

Nathan's grip on his weapon tightened, careful not to lose his guard, his knuckles turning white. He leaned closer to the door, his tone sharp with distrust. "Why should even do so I? Last time we talked, you had guns pointed at our heads, and Ellen almost died." He said as he stared at the rest as though asking for what to do.

"If I wanted to kill you, this door wouldn't stop me," Morrison replied evenly. "I'm here to talk. Don't make this harder than it needs to be." She said her voice radiate with confidence and certainty.
