Chapter 33: Return

He had also seen her, dressed in a red coat, equally conspicuous.

He walked up to her, their eyes met, perhaps due to the long separation, neither could find the words at first.

She smiled, "Senior, welcome home."

In his eyes, a bright clarity reflected her red dress, like dancing flames.

Eventually, he reached out to touch her hair, just as he had cherished her in the past.

She giggled, but leaned to dodge his touch, "Senior, let's go."

He didn't say anything more and got into the car with her.

She had driven herself here, without calling a driver, so that she could have a private conversation with him before they entered the house.

Thus, after they got into the car, he drove and she sat in the passenger seat, feeling as if time had rewound to a year and a half ago...

Her heart ached, and she finally said what had been on her mind just as he buckled his seatbelt and before he started the car.

"Senior, let's get a divorce."
