The wave that reached you

Alexander had been walking down the lonely road, the dog trotting happily beside him.He had saved the animal earlier that evening, rescuing it from the cruel hands of a drunkard who had been tossing it around without a care.

He glanced over his shoulder, his instincts kicking in, and for a split second, he thought he saw shadows moving quickly behind him. A chill ran down his spine. The dog barked softly, as if it sensed the same danger. Alexander picked up his pace, but the feeling of being followed grew stronger.

Suddenly, five figures emerged from the mist ahead of him.Their faces were obscured by hoods, and they moved in perfect synchronization, like a well-rehearsed unit. There were no weapons visible, no pistols or knives that Alexander could spot. But there was something in the air that made his heart race.one of the men stepped forward. His voice was low, like the rumble of distant thunder.

"Our boss wants to meet you."

Alexander's brow furrowed in confusion. "Your boss? Who... who are you talking about?"

"Member of valmont family." He replied.

"Valmont....the French family? He asked. There was something he wanted to confirm.

"Yes, well you know about....." Alexander stepped forward and put his finger on his lips to stop him from speaking.

"My heart composes its own disgrace, as if the pen itself is eager to write the praises of its beloved."

"O mon Dieu, I like it."

"Don't need your appreciation." He had decided to go with them because there was nothing left for him. Mother was no more, father had grown cold.

"Sometimes the world calls you to be a part of someone else's story and then creates the best moments for you. It feels as though you were always there, but you were just a catalyst."
