Saturday morning at 7 a.m., Jiang Ning took Xue Yuantong to the hospital.
Aunt Gu had no problem staying in the ward alone at night, and she was going to be discharged in a couple of days.
At eight o'clock, during the ward rounds, the attending doctor came to the ward and checked Aunt Gu's condition:
"Do your fingers still feel numb?"
"A bit," said Aunt Gu.
"The recovery will be gradual. Thankfully, the damage to the radial nerve isn't severe, otherwise you wouldn't even be able to perform simple grasping movements."
"Doctor, when will the surgery to remove the steel plate be?" Aunt Gu asked. Having a steel plate in her arm, she would need another surgery to remove it after the bone healed, which was quite an ordeal.
"I don't recommend removing it. The material of the steel plate you have can stay in the bone for life."
