Chapter 156: These Jackals are Quite Particular

Feeling threatened was unpleasant, but for wild animals, the threat to their life was their greatest reliance.

"Make some room, let me get through."

The male jackal growled softly, and the others reluctantly moved aside, digging their forepaws into the ground, desperately trying to control their instincts.

Chen Ying plucked up the courage to step forward and check on the female jackal.

The situation was not good.

Of the three cubs that had been born, two were in a slightly better condition, but the smaller one still had amniotic fluid on its body and was a bit hypothermic.

Chen Ying pulled a towel from his bag, wrapped the little cubs in it, then dragged a jackal over to lie down and hug the bundle of towels to keep the cubs warm.

The jackal looked bewildered, the entire beast too scared to make a sound, only managing to let out a short, low breath after a long while.
