The air carried a familiar scent that allowed Le Cheng to immediately discern where he was. While he couldn't pinpoint the exact location, there was no doubt this was his beloved Texas.

Why not Saint Elizabeth?

Le Cheng had no idea; perhaps Infinite Paradise had its own plans.

Now that he was back in Texas, he planned to pay a visit to an old flame.

It was already night, and without a cell phone on him, Le Cheng couldn't call a ride or pinpoint his location. Fortunately, Texans are famously bold, and after waiting by the road for a bit, a sedan soon pulled up.

The car wasn't even close before the intense rock music reached Le Cheng's ears, blaring through the windows. The driver was a young man with a dyed hairstyle and tattoos, looking like a decent chap. When Le Cheng signaled that he wanted a ride, the driver laughed heartily and flipped him the bird in a friendly manner.

Le Cheng chuckled, and as the sedan passed by, he casually pulled open the passenger door.
