Through Fire and Fury

"Shit, we're going to die," Viper muttered.

"Shut up. I don't want to hear this negative attitude," Bullseye snapped.

"Umm, yay! We're all going to die—woohoo!" Viper quipped, flashing a mocking grin.

"If you do that again, I'll throw you out that damn window. Wait—what are you doing?" Bullseye asked, incredulous.

"Just checking how high the drop is. Seeing if it's worth it," Viper replied nonchalantly.

A sharp glance from Shadow was all it took to silence them both.

Ghost finally spoke, his calm demeanor cutting through the tension. "We can actually climb down from the window... if Viper unscrews all the nails holding it in place."

"Aye, aye, Captain," Viper saluted sarcastically and quickly pried the nails loose.

They started climbing down one by one, but Ghost stopped halfway and called out. "Viper, catch!" He tossed the drive to her.

"What the hell?!" Viper fumbled but caught it just in time. "Why are you giving this to me?"

"Because you don't get shot as often as Bullseye, and you're not Shadow—so they're less likely to aim at you," Ghost deadpanned.

"Not comforting, but okay!" Viper secured the drive in her jacket, muttering, "If this explodes, I'm haunting you."

Gunfire suddenly erupted above. Someone had spotted them.

"Shit," Bullseye cursed. "Can't even climb down in peace."

"Go! I'll handle this," he barked, gripping his weapon.

"I'll stay with you," Ghost said firmly.

"Fine. Shadow, take Viper and Cipher. Get out of here!" Ghost shouted.

Before Shadow could respond, an explosion rocked the room they'd climbed down from. The wall cracked, and the structure groaned ominously.

"Viper, move!" Ghost yelled.

"Bullseye and I will hold them off—go now!"

"Don't die!" Viper shot back, panic mixing with her usual sarcasm as she hurried down the remaining stretch.

Without waiting, Bullseye and Ghost exchanged glances and dove through a nearby window as the floor above collapsed.

Shadow and Viper landed on the ground just as Cipher pulled up in the car. "Get in!" Cipher shouted, eyes scanning the burning building.

As the car sped away, another explosion consumed the warehouse. Viper looked back, searching the flames.

"No sign of Ghost or Bullseye," she said, her voice cracking.

"They're fine," Shadow said coldly, his face unreadable.

The tension in the car was palpable. Viper and Cipher exchanged worried glances as the wreckage loomed behind them.

Suddenly, two figures emerged from the fire, stumbling but alive.

"Phew," Viper sighed in relief. "They're alive—but they might give me a heart attack next time."

Bullseye, grinning like a fool, climbed into the car. "Told you I'd handle it."

Viper shot him a look. "Did you have to blow up the entire building?"

"There was no other choice," Bullseye replied with a shrug.

Shadow, his voice steely, interrupted. "You'll handle the consequences of this on your own."

Bullseye's grin faltered slightly. "Yeah, yeah... I've got it covered."

Cipher stepped on the gas, the team speeding away from the smoldering wreckage.
