taken (vol6 ending)

Suddenly, the sound of shattering glass fills the room as a bullet flies through the window, striking Johnny squarely in the chest. He collapses to the ground, a pained groan escaping his lips. For a few agonizing moments, he writhes on the floor, gasping for breath, before going completely limp.

"Don't move!" Bonnie barks fiercely at the hostages, her voice cutting through the chaos.

Carver and his group duck behind the columns, peering cautiously out the broken window near Johnny's body. "Watch them," Carver commands, nodding toward the trembling hostages. Then, with a brutal yank, he grabs Walter by the collar and drags him over to the shattered window.

Walter's eyes widen in horror as he catches sight of a nearby picture frame, a snapshot of happier times spent with Matthew. Before he can process what's happening, Carver raises his gun and fires. The shot echoes through the lodge, and Walter's body slumps lifelessly to the floor.

"No!" Carlos exclaims, his voice a mixture of disbelief and anguish.

"Please, stop!" Clementine cries, her heart racing as she witnesses the horror unfold.

"Walter..." Eddie whispers, his voice barely audible as he utters his friend's name, grief flooding his heart.

"That's for our man!" Carver shouts, his voice dripping with sadistic glee. "Now, I didn't want to do this, but you ain't leavin' me much choice! Here's what's gonna happen: I'm going to march another one of your friends out here and put a bullet in the back of their head! Or you can give up now! Your choice!" His tone is menacing, the threat clear.

Outside, the person who had shot Johnny was Carley. She crouched behind cover with Maria, Luke nowhere to be seen. Maria had handed her rifle to Carley moments earlier, and in exchange, Carley had given Maria her pistol, a gesture of trust amidst the chaos.

"Walter!" Maria gasps, her hand flying to cover her mouth as she witnesses the brutal execution.

"Shit..." Carley mutters under her breath, her heart pounding as she tries to steady her aim. She takes a deep breath and squeezes the trigger again, this time aiming directly for Carver. The bullet whizzes past his arm, barely grazing him, before embedding itself harmlessly in the floor. "Fuck!" she curses, frustration boiling over.

Determined to find a better angle, Carley and Maria dart toward the nearby skating rink, hoping for a clearer shot. Meanwhile, Carver seizes Alvin, a smug grin spreading across his face. "Hi, Alvin," he taunts, his tone mocking.

"Bill, no!" Rebecca cries out, panic lacing her voice.

"Should I shoot?" Carley asks Maria, her resolve wavering under the pressure.

But from inside the lodge, Eddie's voice erupts with urgency. "Fuckin' shoot!"

Without hesitation, Carley pulls the trigger. The bullet strikes Carver's ear, taking off a small piece of flesh. His eyes widen in shock, but he quickly regains his composure. In retaliation, he raises his gun and fires, the bullet tearing through Alvin's skull.

"No, Alvin!" Rebecca screams, her voice cracking with despair.

"Alvin! Rebecca, don't look. Just don't look, Rebecca. Oh my God. Oh my God!" Carlos stammers, his heart racing as he tries to shield Sarah from the carnage.

Carver steps aside, his cruel gaze landing on Eddie next. Without resistance, Eddie allows himself to be grabbed, maintaining a calm facade, though inside, he is screaming, 'Oh fuck, oh fuck!'

Carver presses the revolver's barrel to Eddie's temple, his grin widening as he taunts, "I can keep doing this all night!"

"We give up!" Carley shouts from outside, urgency in her voice. She drops her rifle, the weapon clattering to the ground.

Maria and Carley slowly approach the front door, their hands raised in surrender, the tension palpable.

With a swift kick, Bonnie bursts through the front door, her demeanor commanding. "Let's go!"

Carley and Maria step forward, joining the lineup of hostages.

"Where's Luke? Finally cut and run, huh? Why am I not surprised?" Carver sneers, his eyes glinting with malice. "I warned you. I warned you not to follow him. And look where he's led you. But you're safe now. We're going home. As a family. Alright, round 'em up. We're headin' back to camp."
