Ranks
The morning in Santo is for the mandatory classes, which all students must attend.
These mandatory classes include Combat, Magic theory and practice, History, Mathematics and Philosophy, while in the afternoon we can choose which classes to attend or not.
There are countless other classes, Politics, Science, Chemistry, Botany, Survival, and many others. These are called extra classes, and though you don't need to attend all, you require to go to some to be able to pass the year without problems.
The best of it is that I don't need to go to classes now, and I can do whatever I want in the afternoon, which makes the best moment to use the gym.
The gym is located underneath the Arena, in an underground area created specifically to attend all the physical needs of the students. All the best equipment in the world, created through science and magic.
Areas to spar, as well personal spaces, which are specifically only given to factions, that includes the newest and best equipment for physical training, a gravity pod, where the area's gravity is increased.
Unfortunately for now, I won't be able to use it, not until Mikhail and the others win the faction battle, then we'll get all the equipment of the Blues.
Heh, that will serve those bastards right.
But for the time being, I'll need to content myself with the traditional equipment.
Without wasting any more time, I entered the gym and was pleased to see that it was more or less empty, probably because most students were in the classes right now, only remaining a few skipping classes, and these few did not bother me.
So I spend the rest of my day in the gym.
Many hours later, I found myself back in my room, totally exhausted and feeling my muscles very sore. I threw myself on my bed as I muttered, "Screen"

Seeing that, I smiled at the small victory.
My physical stats increased by one Rank, in just a single day. That must be thanks to the special physics of Challengers, and because I just went from F to E, every rank gets more difficult to increase as you level up.
Advancing from Rank G to C can be achieved relatively quickly through training. From Rank B to A is still possible but requires an immense effort.
However, reaching Rank A to S, and ultimately SS, is nearly impossible through training alone.
Reaching Rank A in three months will be extremely tough, I'll need to train everyday until I pass out on the ground. I do have two points saved up, but it's better to keep them in case of an emergency.
Sighing, I said, "Three months…"
It will be a momentary peace until the faction battle, and I'll have until then to prepare for everything, because when that battle begins, a sequence of events will also start which will create a chaos that I won't be able to avoid.
The fastest way would be to enter the tower again and face the second Trial, but I need to be at least A Rank to be able to face the next Trial. Which will take too long now.
The best method to get stronger now is the next classes of Santo, in a few days there will be an exam that will grant a very useful combat Rune to those who pass the exam.
The Rune of Multiplication, that can multiplicate every physical stats of the user according to his mastery of the Rune.
And of course, I'll get my hands on it.
It will be a difficult exam, since the Blues faction will interfere to make Mikhail and the others fail, and that also includes me since I'm now a part of their faction. But the setting of the exam is the best way for me.
It will be a treasure hunt, the best kind of test for someone as weak as me, that will have to compete with monsters like Mikhail and Lin.
But for now, that's a problem for my future self, I just want to rest now.
I felt my eyelids becoming more and more heavy as a deep slumber caught me.
