"Ladies and gentlemen, you have waited a long time, but we're finally here... Dojos from all over the Valley have trained for more than a year to achieve glory in this legendary tournament. Recently, due to a renowned competitor from abroad announcing their participation, contestants from across the country have traveled to the San Fernando Valley to join this competition."
"That's why the rules have changed. Now, throughout the entire week, you'll be able to watch the preliminary matches for free, leading up to the grand finale on Karate Day. But since it's the opening and everyone is here, do you want to know who will participate?"
"Alright, for someone like this Sensei, the Dojo needs no introduction. He made a surprise debut at the All Valley in 1984 and 1985 and quickly became one of the biggest sensations in this sport! This year, with all the magical and unexpected changes, he's back with his Miyagi-Do Karate Dojo."
"Only true enthusiasts will know that this very Sensei fought alone and achieved glory alongside his own Sensei. They're ready to prove that they can reach glory again, just as they did years ago."
The announcer pointed toward the entrance and said: "Let's give a round of applause to Miyagi-Do Karate, led by the two-time champion Daniel LaRusso!"
At that moment, Daniel LaRusso entered with his twenty students, all of whom had been learning Karate for just four months.
"The next Dojo earned the title last year. Their history is as grand as the history of this tournament. With their legendary former Senseis, they helped expand Karate throughout the Valley. Let's welcome Topanga Karate!"
Compared to other Dojos, Topanga Karate had more students, enough to make them strong contenders to win the glory of this tournament again. The participants' ages ranged from ten to eighteen years, which posed a significant challenge for Max, who was under eighteen and would face tough victories.
Dojos like Karate Power, another participant, had much higher chances of winning due to their large numbers, but this didn't faze Max.
"Are you nervous?" Devon, noticing their turn was approaching, looked at Max with a hint of apprehension.
"Me? Not at all. I'll crush any opponent they put in front of me… The only thing that gets on my nerves is the crowd. That's something everyone else will have to get used to," Max replied while eyeing both the male and female students.
"And finally, from Reseda, the hosts of this tournament, returning to show that the Cobra flames are still alive..."
"Let's welcome back Cobra Kai, led by Senseis Johnny Lawrence and Terry Silver!"
When their Dojo was announced, Johnny nodded as their leader and walked slowly to the designated area.
"This place is much more intimidating as a participant…" Devon murmured as she observed the cheering crowd—not for them, but for the competition about to begin.
For Max, this wasn't new. Both he and Ryan were veterans in fighting before larger audiences.
Ryan was built to be the center of attention, while Max was there to display authority.
"Salute!" shouted Max, wearing a patch with the male division captain insignia.
At his command, all members of Cobra Kai bowed to the audience, who had graced them with their presence.
The second bow was directed toward the referees.
Devon, who led the female team alongside Tory, wore the captain insignia thanks to her experience.
Those who noticed Max were surprised. No one could believe that someone with one eye could practice martial arts, let alone be a captain.
"He's strong, guys."
Joey glared at Max, resentment evident in his voice, as he said, "I'll defeat him, no matter the cost."
"Yeah, but he's not our only concern. Martial arts schools from all over the country are here, so focus on them first," Robby replied, eyeing a competitor who looked particularly strong.
