The corridor beyond the gate was unlike anything they had encountered before. The oppressive darkness of the Abyss gave way to a faint, eerie blue light emanating from the walls. The air was dense, carrying a metallic tang that hinted at ancient machinery lying dormant.
Each step brought them closer to an unseen presence—one that made the hair on the back of their necks stand on end.
As they walked, the corridor widened, and the light grew brighter. Soon, they found themselves standing at the edge of a vast cavern. Below, stretching out into the horizon, was a sprawling city carved from the very stone of the Abyss. Towering spires spiraled upward, their tips glowing faintly with pulsating energy. Streets of black obsidian wound through the city, connecting plazas filled with intricate, rune-covered statues.
"What is this place?" Mira whispered, her eyes wide with wonder.
