Some things cannot be thought about too deeply, the more you think about them, the more disgusting you become.
Since it involves tombs, this is my specialty. I stood up and looked around in the square space of a medium size.
This is a stone vault tomb. No bricks or tiles are used. The tomb chamber is completely cut out of stone vaults. This kind of tomb chamber is very solid and can often be preserved for a very long time. Just look at the megalithic buildings in the West. If you want to say that the building materials that can withstand the ravages of time, they must be things like stones that are bred by nature itself. However, such a tomb is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Cutting irregular rocks into squares, you can imagine how much manpower and material resources are needed. This kind of tomb is not affordable for dignitaries.
However, it is difficult to speculate the age. Stone tombs exist in every dynasty and are not particularly representative. As long as the wealthy people hope that their tombs will not collapse for thousands of years, they will generally recommend this kind of tomb. Except for a bone ruler, the rest of the things in the tomb have basically decayed under water, including the corpse and the coffin. Nothing was buried, only a mud pond, which makes it even more difficult for us to speculate the age of the tomb.
I took a rough look. The walls around the tomb are all made of stone arches. The gaps in the middle have been sealed with butter paper and lime powder. There is basically no damage, but the floor of the tomb is severely damaged. Even now, one or two small stone slabs as thick as a palm can be occasionally taken out from the mud pond, which shows that the floor of the tomb was paved with polished stone slabs.
They are all experts, and it is not the first time to do such a thing. Many times, there is no need for a definite answer. The general outline of the matter can be fully speculated through some clues.
If nothing unexpected happened, the so-called combination of well and cellar was completely an accident, not a special arrangement at all.
There are countless tombs on Mingtiaogang, and this tomb is one of them. It's just that the location was not chosen well. Most of them were buried in a hurry, and no experts were invited to survey the geography and finally determine the location and dig. Therefore, this tomb was built on a water bed.
This water bed is not the kind of water bed that is often found in modern couple hotels, but a term in the feng shui survey business, referring to places with very rich groundwater. Such places are generally used to dig wells and are not suitable for building tombs.
This tomb obviously did not take this into consideration. There may be no accidents during the excavation, but after a long time, it is hard to say anything. The groundwater backflows up, washes down the floor of the tomb, and finally floods the entire tomb. In addition, this tomb has adopted some sealing technology. After the groundwater backflows up, it naturally continues in the tomb, and the entire tomb has become a water cellar!
According to Lao Bai's speculation about the wellhead statue, during the Tang Dynasty, there was a lunatic who actually ran to the super cemetery of Mingtiaogang and lived there. It is unknown how he survived and whether he was disturbed by ghosts and gods. However, it was this lunatic who dug a well for no reason and dug the well into the tomb. At that time, the whole tomb was flooded, so naturally water came out. Therefore, this lunatic did not think about other places and just started to enjoy the groundwater that had been soaked by the dead...
This is probably the cause of this special situation at the moment. Apart from this, I can't think of any other possibilities.
"Since it is a stone tomb, it is a big tomb, how could there be only one tomb chamber?"
Lao Bai followed me and asked in a low voice: "Did you see any other clues?"
"No clues at all."
I said lightly: "This is indeed a big tomb, but it is only the tip of the iceberg of the big tomb. The person buried here is not the real owner of the big tomb. If nothing unexpected happens, it should be a person buried here, and he is willing to be buried here. I think this person should be one of the most important people around the tomb owner during his lifetime, otherwise people would not be so considerate to put a bone ruler under his neck after his death. If it is a violent human sacrifice, who cares so much, just tie him up and kill him with a knife and push him in!"
Lao Bai said: "A secondary burial pit?"
I nodded: "Besides this, there is no other explanation. This square tomb without a door can only be a secondary burial pit. I just groped around and found nothing else. Unlike the extremely hidden tomb door we encountered overseas last time, there is indeed no tomb door here.
As a secondary burial pit, it can only be in the four corners of the main tomb chamber. From such a tomb chamber, it is impossible to tell which direction it is in the main tomb chamber. However, since it is a sacrificial person, it cannot take the place of the main tomb chamber. The terrain of the main tomb chamber must be higher than here. We also saw it when we came. The surrounding terrain is relatively flat, which does not look like a place to place the main tomb chamber. Moreover, unless you are a fool geomancer, you will not let the main tomb be placed on the flat ground around, because that is the phoenix wing of the flying phoenix land. Riding on the phoenix wing, the tomb owner is not safe. This is common sense. Therefore, the location of the main tomb chamber can only be on the huge loess hillock of Mingtiaogang! !
As long as you keep digging towards the location of Mingtiaogang, you will definitely be able to dig into the main tomb chamber. Don't worry, it won't be too far. Although it is not clear who the tomb owner is, it is definitely not the emperor. The scale of the secondary burial pit cannot reach that level, so it can only be a noble. The secondary burial pit of a noble will not be too far from the main tomb, no more than 500 meters, otherwise it will be against the rules! "
Lao Bai saw that I looked at him with a strange look in my eyes, and he couldn't help but say embarrassedly: "We came here to track the black snake, look at where you are..."
I glanced at him, thinking, if your eyes hadn't lit up when you heard Da Mu, would I have told you this?
"Having said that, this is indeed a bit strange!!"
Brother Yaozi said: "The black snake ran out of the Yellow River. When it was driven away by the villagers of Xia Village, it fled here again. Where is its nest?"
"It's hard to say. We can only catch a clue and search as much as possible."
I laughed and said: "We don't have the ability to catch turtles in the five oceans, so we can only think of a way from here. If we can't find the snake, then Huang Laoxie can only accept his fate. Didn't Xiaozhi also say that this grandson's wife has a child but it has nothing to do with him. Maybe this is his fate. We have to accept it. We have tried our best, right?"
Brother Yaozi thought about it and finally nodded. This matter is indeed a bit painful. If it weren't for my master's decision to open the mountain gate, we wouldn't want to come to this place at all. Since we are here, we just do our best and let fate take its course. It's not worth risking our lives.
On this point, we all highly agree!
"If, I mean if..."
Zhang Xinya suddenly said: "What if this burial pit is not the destination of the black snake at all? You can see here, it doesn't look like a place where evil creatures are lurking all year round. Maybe this is just a starting point? The snake drilled down from the wellhead. There may be some dark holes left by it. Then it passed through the dark hole and drilled into its old nest. Its old nest should be not far from the Yellow River, and it can even lead to the Yellow River!!
Don't forget that the people of Xia Village have been drinking the well water in this well. In other words, the groundwater is still pouring back, but the process is very slow. Er Gouzi just checked the tomb chamber. The tomb wall has been sealed and can store water. What caused the well water to suddenly dry up two months ago? I think there is only one reason. The sealed tomb wall was destroyed, so after the underground water pipe came up, it all flowed out!!"
This is a bold guess, but... it is very likely!
"Look carefully again!"
I immediately said, "If we still don't find anything, we can only withdraw."
Everyone immediately started to work, each person was responsible for an area, carefully searching for the possible snake hole.
This is a meticulous project, definitely not easy.
"Brother Jingzhe..."
Xiao Zhi suddenly called me timidly, I couldn't help but stop the work in my hands, turned my head to look at her, and she whispered: "This stone seems to move, but I am weak and can't pull it out!!"
Move?
My eyes lit up, and I immediately rushed to her corner, pinched the stone and shook it back and forth, and it was moving. The stone was covered with mud, and the camouflage was done too well! !
"Found it!!"
I was excited, grabbed the stone and pulled it out, and sure enough, there was a hole behind the stone, dark, and I didn't know where it led to! !
