Not looking anymore

It was two in the afternoon when Aiden arrived at his teaching centre. Out of all the places he goes to every day, that was one of his favourite.

The class was per usual challenging, fun and very much in his element. Technology was his dream and hobby so, teaching it was a no brainer.

The centre vibe was great, the classes were fun, students there at least tries to get their money's worth out of their mentors, he could learn from their challenges and get cheap labours at the same time when his workload becomes a lot.

He was asking for a month off to their Boss as he walked to the office due to that being his last year at his college and he didn't even prepare anything for his final year project.

"A new brand of make up? Does they have my shade, Veronica?" Asked Aiden's coworker.

"You talk about shades in this era? Doris, what brand are you using?" Asked Veronica, concerned.

"Stop it girls. And this is why Women in business are looked down upon" Said their Boss as he stepped in the office.

"You want us to talk about football instead?" Asked another girl with a deep voice.

"What's a football?" Asked Doris, acting clueless.

"You made your point" Said their boss before he walked to her office leaving Aiden standing there awkwardly.

"Was the class that brutal?" Asked Veronica when she saw how much tired Aiden was.

"Not really. I just have a lot on my plate" Explained Aiden before scratching the back of his neck nervously, "There's no easy way to ask for this but, I'm just gonna go ahead and do it"

"Now I'm scared, Aiden" Replied Veronica in a monotone.

"Where can I get that package?" Asked Aiden awkwardly.

"What?" Asked Veronica stunned before Agatha came to her aid, "He meant the make up kit, Veronica focus!"

"You can take mine. I just got it" Said Veronica packing everything back on again.

"I can buy it myself. I just don't know the good stores for these things. I don't want to make a mistake, you know?" Clarified Aiden hoping they get where he's coming from.

"Preach baby, I used a fake foundation last month and now my skin is like a mine site" Said Doris, showing them invisible spots on her face.

"I didn't know you had time to date" Commented Agatha who felt like he left her at hello.

"Who's the lucky girl?" Asked Veronica curiously.

"It's a beautiful girl with a big dick. That's all I can say" Replied Aiden with a shrug making her coworkers laugh.

"That reminds me, last night when I was out with my man..." Started Agatha as an afterthought but, regretted when she was being attacked.

"The goo goo gaga gorilla in your status?" Asked Doris, disgusted.

"You know that he's not that into you right?" Inquired Vivian with pity in her tone.

"Tell that to the rock on my hand!" Said Agatha showing off her toy ring.

"That has been there for six years now! Find something exciting to flaunt. Don't disrespect us like this" Said Veronica, dissapointed.

"Very rude but, it's true and darling, having a ring guarantees nothing in a relationship" Reminded Vivian casually.

"Don't sweat Vivian, they could file a divorce when she gets her brain cells to function again. So you were saying?" Asked Doris taking them back to the story Agatha was begging to tell.

"Wow. You guys are toxic" Said Agatha dryly.

"I'd go for harmful. Like cancer to a human. Slow and steady" Said Veronica with a dismissal tone.

"That's actually very smart. I like that better" Supported Vivian making Veronica smile brightly.

"I felt that too. Did my head grow bigger or that's just my ego?" Said Veronica excitedly.

"Look at them looking like kids. Very uncivilized" Said Doris with a shake of her head, elegantly.

"He has a girlfriend, genius!" Pointed out Vivian in her deep voice making the other girls laugh.

"That doesn't mean he turned blind!" Retorted Doris brushing her wig seductively at Aiden who was hoping he wasn't there to begin with. What made him participate with them in the first place?

"I'm actually not looking anymore" Replied Aiden simply going to sit on his desk. Leaving all sorts of mortified gasps from the girls.

"Savage"

"Brutal"

"Cold"

"Yummy" Whispered Doris passionately, "Exactly my type"

"I'm not saving this soul" Said Vivian with a roll of her eyes. What a headache.

"Guys, so I met a gay couple in real life!" Said Agatha excitedly.

"No" Replied Doris with a gasp, hand over her chest, "Tell me you got their IG"

"I was with Kelvin when I saw them" Explained Agatha like that should be enough to excuse her failure and somehow the girls seemed to get it except Aiden.

"God, I hate your man" Said Vivian with a sigh, "Are you that desperate?"

"I don't know anymore" Replied Agatha with a shrug, "He's comfortable, I'm comfortable. Life goes on"

"He's an asshole and you like playing victim that's what it is" Said Doris firmly with an attitude.

"So, you didn't ask for their IG, nor their numbers not even a fan girling picture? Why did you even bring it up?" Asked Veronica trying her best to not seem angry.

"I saw them in a restaurant. They could be frequenting there" Suggested Agatha with shrug.

"We are eating out tonight guys. Put it on my tab" Announced Vivian thoughtfully making the girls cheer for her. Aiden didn't know why but, he found himself smiling at that.

"What's the name of the restaurant?" Asked Aiden. Mentally wishing to book a reservation there for his date with Philip.

"Served, at HRY road opposite Drop Tower. Ground floor" Replied Agatha before connecting the dots and all girls were on Aiden's face.

"What?" Asked Aiden terrified.

"Let me meet her" Said Doris seriously .

"Me too" Chorused the rest of the girls.

"Tomorrow is a team dinner please, remember to bring your spouses" Said their boss from the doorway.

"Madam! Not you too" Said Aiden with a laugh, embarrassed at that but, he knew that he was one of the lucky ones. The problem was convincing Philip for that audience. He hated public displays of affection the most.

"Boss lady, that was one big ass move there" Said Vivian bumping fists with their boss, "But, you know most of your staff are singles yeah?"

"Whatever, I just want to meet this boy who made my star employee socialize outside classes" Said their boss with a smile looking down at Aiden who was blushing profusely.

"Thank you Madam. I would have to see if he's up for it" Replied Aiden imagining he was already in the apartment with Philip at that moment.
