Chapter 56

Roslyn walked back into the villa, and Chris strode toward her, his expression etched with concern and curiosity.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Chris asked, his voice laced with a hint of protectiveness.

"You've been gone for a while. Everything okay?"

But Roslyn's expression remained unreadable, her features a mask of calm determination.

She ignored his questions, her gaze fixed on some point beyond him.

"We need to leave tonight," she said, her tone firm, urgent, and commanding.

"Make the arrangements, Chris. Now."

Her words hung in the air, heavy with an unspoken weight.

Chris's brow furrowed, his mind racing with possibilities.

"Roslyn, what's going on?" He asked, his voice low and insistent.

But she didn't stop, didn't explain, and didn't even acknowledge his question.

She walked past him, her strides long and purposeful.

Toward her room, where she disappeared behind closed doors.

Leaving Chris puzzled, concerned, and more than a little frustrated.
