Chapter 24

Ivy stood in front of the stove, determined to cook a decent meal despite her limited experience. She began by chopping the vegetables, but her inexperience showed as she cut her finger several times. She winced in pain as the sharp knife sliced through her skin, but she didn't stop. She kept cutting, her finger bleeding, as she tried to chop the vegetables into small pieces.

As she moved on to cooking the meat, she accidentally touched the hot pan with her hand, burning herself. She cried out in pain, but still, she didn't stop. She kept cooking, her hand throbbing in pain as she tried to brown the meat.

Despite her hurts, Ivy continued to cook, her determination driving her forward. She added spices, stirred the pot, and tasted the food, all while trying to ignore the pain in her finger and hand.
