Victor stormed into the hospital, his eyes scanning the hallways for any sign of Ivy. He had been consumed by a sense of dread since he received the news of her critical condition. His mind was racing with worst-case scenarios, and he couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt for not being there for her sooner.
As he approached Ivy's room, he saw the doctor standing outside, looking somber. Victor's heart sank, and he felt a surge of fear.
"Mister Blackwood?" the doctor asked, his voice hesitant.
Victor's voice was low and menacing. "How is my fiancée?"
The doctor took a step back, intimidated by Victor's demeanor. "Your fiancée's condition is still critical, sir. She has lost a lot of blood and was on the cold floor for a long time, hence her body is not able to produce heat. She is currently under observation."
