Ryder quickly dialed Victor's number, his mind racing with the implications of what they had just learned. Victor answered on the first ring.
"Victor, it's Ryder. We have a problem," Ryder said, his voice low and urgent.
Victor's voice was calm, but Ryder could sense the tension beneath. "What is it?"
"The Smith brothers—Ivy's brothers. They're behind the attack on our warehouse. They paid those men to take us down," Ryder said, his anger rising.
Victor's voice turned glacial. "They've finally crossed the line. I've been waiting for this."
Ryder's tone was curious. "You knew this was coming?"
Victor's response was laced with disdain. "I've never liked them, especially Ethan. He's always been a snake in the grass. I knew it was only a matter of time before they made a move."
Ryder nodded, understanding Victor's sentiment. "Well, they've made their move now. And they'll have to pay for it."
