Since she was a little girl, Murong Daiyu had been told tales of goddesses and angels but she always thought of them as myths. Now though she believed that some of those tales were true because a goddess was right in front of her.
Murong Daiyu had always been aware of her own feelings towards Cara, she had been ensnared by the female bodyguard since she first set her eyes in her, but seeing Cara now, looking like the embodiment of the goddess of lust had her heart racing.
Cara was dressed in a backless, shiny red mesh gown. The gown pooled at her ankles, it was split at both her thighs revealing gorgeous caramel-colored skin, the dress clung to her like a second skin, accentuating her curvy hips. The deep v line of the strapless dress only served to draw attention to her ample cleavage. Her golden blonde hair was styled in a side braid. She wore dark make-up and her back lipstick only made her lips more kissable.
Murong Daiyu fed her eyes on the tattoos that decorated her skin. A black rose was drawn on her neck, a cross drawn between the lines of her breasts, the others were written in a language she couldn't understand, but something about Cara's tattoos looked hot.
Suddenly she felt undressed with such a masterpiece of God's creation in front. Murong Daiyu had left home feeling gorgeous, but now she couldn't help but question her fashion choice. She had worn an elegant high-waist black skirt with a knee-length split and a deep purple laced off-shoulder long-sleeved blouse that stopped below her breast. Her deep purple hair was styled in waves and flowed down her back while the front was styled into bangs to cover up her big forehead.
"I am sorry I am late, had a last minute job to handle." Murong Daiyu struggled not to blush at the sexy accent as Cara's rose-scented perfume filled her nose.
"It's alright, I have only been here for a couple of minutes." Cara didn't bother to hide the hunger in her emerald orbs and Murong Daiyu struggled not to shrink under such an open gaze.
"You look stunning, hot, purple suits you wonderfully, Mia koro" Cara smiled as she placed a kiss on the back of Murong Daiyu's hand.
"Mia koro? What is that?" Murong Daiyu struggled to fight a losing battle with her growing blush.
"It's am endearment in my language," Cara smirked mischievously, "if you want to know the meaning, you are going to have to research it yourself."
"Playing the mystery card I see?" Murong Daiyu cocked a brow, her dark eyes passing as assessing glance over Cara, "I will admit you look good in a suit, but you look okay is a dress."
Cara smiled, as she sat gracefully on the plush red chair opposite Murong Daiyu's. "Just okay?" She leaned closer to Murong Daiyu across the table and Murong Daiyu couldn't help but notice the glittering rings on her fingers. "I saw you eye fucking me the moment I walked in." Cara bit on her lower lip slightly and Murong Daiyu couldn't help but be drawn to Cara's plump lip, especially with to her lip ring.
"Eye fucking you?" Murong Daiyu spluttered as she watched the other woman lean back into her seat with a loud laugh that contrasted her elegant demeanour. "I admit I was staring, but it wasn't my fault you look hot in that dress." Cara admired the deep shade of red that had spread on her pale cheeks.
"I look even hotter out of it, and I bet you would prefer me without the dress." Cara wiggled her brows.
"Miss Cara act with decorum." Murong Daiyu scolded playfully.
"Miss Cara?" Cara arched her brows and rolled her eyes. "I like the name, but I will prefer if you're moaning it in bed."
"I am not easy to get into bed, you will have to step up your game if you want me there, miss Cara." Murong Daiyu teased.
"I like a good challenge." Cara smiled. "While I have nothing again your hairstyle, I would prefer if I could see all you face." Murong Daiyu frowned.
"People usually prefer when I cover it up, they say my big forehead isn't attractive." Cara's smile dwindled.
"Who said? Don't let people define you, you are beautiful just the way you are, nobody is flawless and while I understand your insecurity, I want you to know that all of you is beautiful, never hide yourself from me Mia koro."
"Thank you." Murong Daiyu smiled shyly, her heart racing at the endearment, having been told all her life that her forehead made her ugly, it felt refreshing knowing that there was someone who liked all of her, not just the part that society considered beautiful.
"Wine?" Murong Daiyu asked as she took the bottle placed at the centre of the table, Cara nodded and Murong Daiyu filled two wine glasses.
"Capucine Manon." Cara smiled as she savoured the spicy after taste of the wine. "A wine as famous for its price as much as the story behind it's origin."
Murong Daiyu arched a questioning brow. "What origin?"
"Capucine made this wine as an engagement gift to her girlfriend Manon, she wanted their name to be engraved together forever in front of the whole world." Mischief glinted in her green eyes. "So tell me Daiyu, what subtle message are you hinting at by offering me this wine? Are you perhaps asking me to marry you?"
"Marry you?" Murong Daiyu nearly choked on her wine. "I only bought the wine because the waiter recommend it as one of their best wine." A red glow had stained her cheeks.
"I am just teasing Daiyu, do all oriental woman blush this easily or is it just you?" Murong Daiyu liked when Cara laughed, it was nothing like her elegant looks, her laughter was wild, rough and uncultured but Murong Daiyu liked it, she liked knowing she was the one making her laugh.
"Won't Han Yichen be angry, I stole one of his best bodyguard." Murong Daiyu sipped her wine.
"He'll manage," Cara shrugged, "we have been putting off this dinner for a week already, besides the ambience here is nice." The interior was designed in strokes of deep red and gold, smooth violin music playing in the background, not loud enough to disrupt people's conversation, just warm and soothing.
"Like them?" Cara asked as she caught Murong Daiyu's eyes tracing her tattoos.
"I do." Murong Daiyu nodded. "They are beautiful."
"Do you want to get one? It would look amazing on your skin." Murong Daiyu was astonished at Cara's words.
"You think a tattoo would like nice on me?" Cara nodded.
"Of course." She pointed to the stars on her wrist, "my first tattoo, got them when I was fourteen."
"What does those mean?" Murong Daiyu pointed at the tattoos that littered her shoulders.
"They are written in Icealanic, my native country is Iceania, it's a small county in the North, very cold and damaged by numerous wars." Cara explained.
"That's very far from here, do your family live there?" Murong Daiyu asked.
"They're all dead, it's a war zone over there, I only managed to survive because someone helped me escape."
"I am sorry." Murong Daiyu whispered.
"Don't look so sad beautiful, it happened a long time ago and I am over it." Cara squeezed her hand. "Want to see my other tattoos?" Murong Daiyu nodded.
Cara turned slightly, Murong Daiyu struggled not to feed her eyes on the naked skin and focus on the tattoo. A gorgeous white bird with a large tail of silverly blue feathers and a fiery red crown occupied her back.
"A whiteclaw." Murong Daiyu gasped. "Don't those beds usually symbolize, death, bad omens and war?"
"Yes, but they also symbolize freedom." Cara smiled.
"Freedom?" Murong Daiyu gazed deeply at the other woman. "You don't seem to be in chains."
"Everybody has chains Daiyu, some are physical and others are not." Murong Daiyu nodded, Cara was right, her own chains were still binding her.
"I have other tattoos as well, but they are in very private areas." She wiggled her brows.
"You..."
"Murong Daiyu." An angry call caught them off.
Both ladies turned to look behind them, standing close to their table was a middle-aged mam dressed in a navy blue suit, his eyes were filled with wrath, a middle-aged woman dressed in a beautiful yellow dress stood beside him holding his elbow and a younger lady, dresses in a maroon colored dress stood beside them.
Murong Daiyu rose to a standing position, she needed no one to tell her that her parents were out with their precious daughter on a family dinner, as usual she was uninvited and thanks to her bad luck she just happened to pick the same restaurant as them.
"Dad, Mum, Fenfang." Cara had never seen Murong Daiyu look like this, so cold and detached, her face blank from any expression.
"So it's true what Fenfang said, you're frolicking with women again." He gave a dirty glance at Cara.
"Oh! Do tell me what Fenfang said." Murong Daiyu smiled coldly.
"You bitch." He yelled.
"Don't speak to Daiyu like that." Now standing, he could see that Cara was almost a head taller than him.
"Who are you to tell me how I speak to my daughter." He growled.
"Honey." The woman in yellow held his shoulder. "People are staring." A few eyes had turned their way, wondering which drama was going on.
He shot a dark glance at Cara and she retuned his look with a equally ferocious glare. "Let's go home, and that includes you Daiyu." Murong Fenfang followed after smirking darkly at Murong Daiyu.
"Daiyu, are you really going with them?" Cara held her wrist as she watched her pick up her bag.
"If I don't go it will only get worst, trust me I will handle it." Murong Daiyu smiled weakly as she pulled her wrist out of Cara's grip. Green eyes watched her worriedly as she walked out.
********
Her childhood home held bitter memories and the place and always reminded her of a prison, she always hated coming back here.
Even after not stepping a foot into this building for a year, her feelings hadn't changed about this house.
Murong Daiyu's face was cold for the entire ride, she exited the car last with slow elegant steps, by the time she reached the sitting room her parents and sister were already there.
Murong Cheng's angry eyes, Qin Mengyao's disappointed eyes and Murong Fenfang's smiling eyes all turned towards her the moment she entered the room.
"I see you still kept my portrait in the sitting room, thought you would have trashed it by now." Murong Daiyu wore a mask of indifference, but deep down an old fear creeped out.
Murong Cheng shot from his seat like an angry snake ready to strike. "Is that all you have to say?" He thundered.
"What do you want me to say?" She challenged.
"I saw you with another woman and you can't even apologize."
"Apologize?" Murong Daiyu laughed, it was an empty laugh, anger coursed through her. "Apologize for what, for not being the perfect daughter? For not being a mindless puppet you could mould to your will? For smearing your reputation? For not loving who you want me to?"
"Murong Daiyu shut up." She paid Qin Mengyao no heed, her angry eyes locked with her father's.
"I am sorry to disappoint you father, but I will not bend to your wishes, yes I love women, I will kiss them, fuck the....." A harsh slap cut her off.
"You damn abomination." Murong Cheng growled as he gripped her hair.
"Father please." A soft voice said, as Murong Fenfang held his shoulder. "Daiyu Jie, doesn't know what she is saying, she's not in her right senses."
Murong Cheng let her go with a shove, of course he would listen to his precious baby girl.
"Let me kill her, I wished I never had a daughter like her, I wish you were my only child." He spat.
Murong Daiyu rubbed her burning cheek, she thought she and grown immune to her family's coldness towards her, but moments like this when her father spoke such vile words and her mother would just stand there in silent agreement still caused a dull ache in her heart.
"Go ahead and kill me then, so Fenfang can be your only child."
"Sister that's enough." Murong Fenfang always the perfect angel.
Anger bubbled through her. "Don't talk to me you two-faced bitch."
Another slap, Murong Daiyu hardly felt it, her right cheek had already gone numb.
"How dare you talk to your sister like that?" Murong Cheng growled.
"You have called me worst, and I am not allowed to talk to your precious daughter like that." Murong Daiyu laughed, only she could see Murong Fenfang smirking behind their father.
"I give you everything, but you remained jealous of Fenfang, always scheming behind her back. I helped you secure a good marriage but you chose to end your marriage." Murong Daiyu could have laughed, good marriage? That beast who abused her physically, emotionally and mentally. Would it have taken her lifeless corpse being brought home to convince her parents that her ex-husband had been an abusive animal.
"Good marriage? If he was such a good man why didn't you have Murong Fenfang marry him." She yelled. "You can shove all your other good marriages up your ass, I am attracted to women."
Another slap, this time the impact sent her falling on the floor. She simply covered her face as her father rained kicks all over her abdomen and body.
"You want to die so bad? Fine I will kill you myself, first that omega girl when you were in highschool and now this alpha woman, I will kill you for bringing shame to this family." His kicks continued to rain all over her.
"Honey."
"Dad."
Murong Fenfang and Qin Mengyao struggled to hold him back. Murong Cheng's face was red and his breathing was coming out in harsh pants.
"Honey please, you are hurting yourself, she isn't worth it." Qin Mengyao cried.
"Dad please, stop for my sake." Murong Fenfang cried.
Murong Cheng stopped, surely he would stop for his precious girl.
Qin Mengyao hurriedly led him upstairs. "I will give him his medicines, Fenfang call the doctor."
"Yes mum." Murong Fenfang replied as she hurried after them.
Murong Daiyu remained on the floor, crying and hurting, she had promised herself never to cry again but sometimes, old scars still hurt.
