"I have done my best but it's probably going to leave a scar." His eyes dropped worriedly to the long reddish wound on her abdomen. Even stitched up it looked horrible, so one could only imagine how horrible it must have looked before.

"I have got a bunch of those already, one more doesn't matter." She shrugged, passing a bored glance at the wound before turning a teasing gaze to the worried doctor before her.

"It's the first time I have seen you worried about me Doctor Ling Sheng." She smiled. "Don't tell me you're secretly in love with me?" She faked a shocked look.

"Oh don't flattery yourself Cara." Ling Sheng rolled his eyes.

"I am not flattering myself. I am just stating the obvious." Cara shifted slightly on the bed, her wound stinging from the movement. "Unless," she paused dramatically, "there's already someone in your heart." Ling Sheng looked horrified.
